Maintaining productivity during Ramadan with reduced work hours requires… #ProductiveRamadan #LinkedInNewsMiddleEast During Ramadan, a person faces changes in sleeping hours and in eating habits in addition to limited window for work interaction with different stakeholders as official working hours are reduced by 25%. In order to maintain productivity during Ramadan, few actions seemed quite successful: 1- Considering working 4 days only per week (getting a longer weekend by getting weekly one day from annual leave during Ramadan) would embrace further energy during work and make better family events planning where efforts are better managed. 2- Preparing KPIs for work productivity during Ramadan with a weekly review would set suitable expectations and a good follow up mechanism to maintain track and achieve outcomes. 3- This can be coupled with flexible working hours (6 hours work that can start between 8 and 10 am according to each sleeping pattern and circumstances) so to maintain the main window of 10am to 2pm potential interaction with different stakeholders and colleagues and still insure focus and healthy cognitive status. in brief focusing on outcomes and not on micro level activities, giving flexibility while managing with pre-agreed clear targeted outcomes and Key Performance Indicators and making weekly review on the progress towards the agreed KPIs with corrective actions if necessary.

Ramadan's discipline sharpens focus, improves productivity. Today, I had to go to court, and it's Ramadan. Hard to get out of bed in the morning. But when it was time to work, I was ready! Even without eating or drinking, I was super focused. During Ramadan, you get this special boost. You don't even miss breakfast because you feel great. Some folks think Ramadan makes work hard. I found it's the total opposite. It doesn't make us do less; it helps us do more. Ramadan is a chance to see things differently. It's not a stop sign for work; it's a green light. Let's use this time to be our best selves. #Ramadhan #Working #Focus

Best ke puasa offshore? It depends on location. At location where lots of worker & colleague are fasting, it will be a very good experience. Masa berbuka and sahur would be more special than your usual dinner and breakfast. Already work together2, eat pun together2 in harmonious way. If at location where only a few that are fasting, mungkin less syok. Hard & long work still to do, berbuka & sahur usually nothing special. Still move on jugakla. Toughest fasting condition that I had faced offshore was: 🥕 The only one fasting on the vessel 🥕 Long daylight hours - imsak at 3.30 am, berbuka at 8.30 pm 🥕 Freezing cold weather 🥕 Halal food? Forget about it la. Go vege, fruit & egg for the entire puasa month. Some offshore people have faced the same situation above. So when you have a good time buying food for berbuka later, ingat2 lah those that works at the frontier, including offshore people, for the benefit of the people & nation. P/s: Photo of me at that project. Many, many years ago. #worklife #subseairm #oilandgas #oilandgasindustry #pakciksubsea #offshorelife #fasting #ramadan #underwaterservices
