Hi Connections, It is to inform of you all that this is the presentation of my 2nd and last project in my one month internship done in July as a Data Analyst in #UnifiedMentor. The Objective of this project was to understand the Crop Production in India for the last 17 years from 1997 to  2015. Dataset Information is as follows, This dataset contains State Name, District Name, Crop Year,  Season, Crop, Area, Production sections in Crop Production dataset. Here are the results that I found, SECTORAL COMPOSITION OF Crop Production in India:- •Total number of records in the dataset: 246091 •Range of crop years covered in the dataset: 1997 – 2015 •Number of unique districts in the dataset: 646 •Season with the highest number of entries: Kharif •State with the highest production of Rice: Kerala •Production of Rice in that state: 9788 crores •The crop with the highest area under cultivation is 'Rice' with an area of 747125281.3 acres. •The crop with the lowest area under cultivation is 'Other Dry Fruit' with an area of 7.0 acres. •Total production of all crops: 141176116767.38995 •The season with the highest average production across all crops is: Whole Year. •Distribution of Crop Production Across Different States with Kerala as highest followed by Andra Pradesh. Production of major crops over different seasons as crops which are produced are whole year category. •Production of top 10 crops across states and years from above visualization Kerala is highest producer. •Coconut is the maximum produced crop and Jobster is the minimum produced crop. Crop Production over the years as 2011 year as 143 crores of production. This project was a great experience to use what I learnt in this past month. Dear Agricultural Graduate, Congratulations on bagging that degree in agriculture. It's no doubt a testament of your resilience and strength. It shows how much agricultural knowledge you've acquired. Here's a truth I want to share with you: "In today's world, that's still not enough". The average Nigerian agricultural graduate tends to be sound intellectually and poor in terms of experience. Now, no one is blaming the graduate (it's simply how our educational system works) however, everyone wants to employ an experienced professional. So don't be shocked when no one employs you to be their farm manager despite your degree. What then should you do? As Farmer Samson Ogbole, one of my favourite person in the agricultural space, will always say: "go for hands-on experience". Seek internship in agricultural firms, enrol in trainings and mentorship programs. Find ways to apply all that knowledge you have in real life situations, solve real life problems, develop expertise in your field and see how valuable you would become in the agricultural industry. It is good to have an agricultural degree but it's even better when you merge that with sufficient experience. #Agriculture
