Who would have thought that polystyrene, those takeaway containers we see everywhere, could have a second chance at life? Thanks to BASF’s incredible Project STAR, what was once seen as non-recyclable waste now has the opportunity to be transformed and reintegrated into valuable global material chains. For us at Wecyclers, this project helps us expand our recycling efforts to materials that were previously considered “impossible.” It gives our waste collectors, the those unsung heroes of the environment more materials to recover and ensures our planet takes a lesser hit.
