The waiting list grew by 31,000 patient pathways in May, bringing the English referral-to-treatment list size to 7.60 million, our in-house waiting list specialist Rob Findlay reports in the Health Service Journal. What matters to patients is waiting times, and again it was bad news. The typical RTT waiting time rose slightly by 0.2 weeks to 44.95 weeks. The incoming Labour government has pledged to reduce this to 18 weeks in a single parliament. But what does that mean for local health services? It’s quite the challenge. Every local service – represented by a circle in this chart – needs to get down to the bottom left corner by 2029. [https://lnkd.in/eTByMbmk] Perhaps you could achieve this by fire-fighting long-waiting cohorts. But wouldn’t it be a lot less exhausting to plan the right capacity, and have clean processes for tracking and managing patients? If you agree then get in touch. We have the systems and processes you need for sustainable elective recovery. https://lnkd.in/ejP99zNN Nadine Carey-Whitehead Graham Bennett Rob Davenport Tim Eltze Karen Hyde Greg Stevens Paige Elizabeth Hyde Adrian Owen Rachel Lane Donna Smith https://lnkd.in/eVYVD93g

Reducing LOS is essential not only for enhancing patient care but also for minimizing readmissions and optimizing hospital resources. For critically ill and medically complex patients, effective LOS management can be challenging. This is where Kindred can make a significant impact. By partnering with Kindred, hospitals can leverage their specialized expertise to ensure high-quality care, which supports a reduction in LOS and improves overall patient outcomes. Kindred's focus on providing targeted care for complex cases aligns perfectly with the need for better LOS management, ultimately leading to fewer readmissions and improved patient satisfaction. Message me to discuss further, so we can achieve these critical goals, together! #Readmissions #HospitalManagement #PatientOutcomes #HealthcarePartnership #HealthcareEfficiency #HealthcareStrategy
No one excels in clinical quality or facilitates length of stay reduction better than Kindred Hospitals! We greatly appreciate our local hospital partners for recognizing the mutual benefits for the patients we serve. #ClinicalQuality #HealthcarePartnerships

In many communities, we are taught to treat others as we would like to be treated, but that is not the whole story. When we focus on patient centered care, we use the "platinum rule" to put the patient's story and wishes first. Please read Tari Advani's blog post about Dr. Harvey Chochinov's "platinum rule" theory here: https://lnkd.in/gXizphAH
