Building Pathways for Tomorrow’s Medical Imaging Professionals 🙏 As the President of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), Heather M. has a clear vision: elevate the visibility of our field, expand our reach, and enhance patient care quality and safety. Each initiative she’s set forth this year embodies a strategic step towards fulfilling ASRT’s mission to advance our profession. Here’s how Heather’s leadership is guiding us into a new era. 1. Building Pipelines into the Profession One of Heather’s first initiatives focuses on creating awareness and interest in medical imaging and radiation therapy among young students. By targeting middle and high school students—and their guidance counselors—ASRT aims to open doors to a career in radiologic sciences, where many might not have considered it before. Heather’s approach here is twofold: raise visibility among youth through partnerships with national career development organizations, and leverage platforms like Daniel (Danny) Gonzales, MSRS, RT(R) FASRT’s “Be Seen” campaign and Brandon Smith’s community recognition initiative to drive interest in medical imaging. Increased early exposure can be pivotal. Studies show that career choices are often influenced by early encounters, especially in fields that require specialized training like radiologic technology (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2023). By establishing ASRT’s presence at school career events, Heather is positioning radiologic technology as a viable, rewarding path for students considering their futures. Not only will this effort help grow our workforce, but it will also create a more diverse pool of future ASRT members, ensuring the profession thrives in the coming years. 2. Championing Inclusive Care for Individuals with Disabilities Heather’s second initiative emphasizes ASRT’s commitment to inclusive patient care, especially for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). To equip radiologic technologists, she is introducing new continuing education (CE) resources focused on IDD care. This specialized training addresses a critical gap, ensuring all patients receive high-quality, empathetic service, and fostering a more inclusive healthcare experience for individuals with disabilities. 3. Community Outreach Through ASRT and Big Brothers Big Sisters Finally, Heather is bringing a community-first mindset by connecting ASRT with Big Brothers Big Sisters, one of the nation’s largest mentoring organizations. Hosting tours of the ASRT Museum and Archives for youth involved in this program gives them a chance to explore the rich history and dynamic future of medical imaging and radiation therapy. Heather Moore’s initiatives are already in motion, and their collective impact has the potential to reshape ASRT’s outreach and influence in communities nationwide. #nrtw2024 #radiologictechnologist #xray #radiologix

Today, I had the privilege of attending KML's Top 30 Under 30 Summit. Thank you The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto and Sam for giving me and my colleagues this opportunity. And congratulations to Aaron for the well-deserved award! We're so proud of you! 🎉 I arrived already expecting to learn, but the panel sessions far exceeded my expectations. I'm excited to share my key takeaways: 📝"Diversity" extends beyond race, age, and gender orientation to include learning abilities. Most people who work in FOH are experiential learners, retaining information better through hands-on experience. Training should be tailored accordingly, rather than relying solely on PowerPoint slides or written materials. 📝Encourage every associate to collaborate and contribute to changes; give them a sense of purpose. 📝When hiring, shift the focus from "Will they stay?" to "How do we retain them?"; what we should be looking for, especially in the service industry, is Authenticity. 📝Going Green— This shouldn't mean taking away amenities or putting the burden on the guests in any way, it means offering an alternative. 📝Pre-Shifts— the hallmark of service excellence; setting the mood for associates and keeping them informed impacts guest's experiences more than you think.
So excited to be at the KML Top 30 - Under - 30 Summit with members of The Westin Harbour Castle, celebrating our award winner Aaron Foster! Congratulations to all 30 Next Gen Trailblazers and to the various panel members for sharing their invaluable insights into a variety of timely topics!

📌This picture is a "Portrait" of the POWER 💪🏾of COLLECTIVE STRENGTH, RELATIONSHIP CAPITAL & H-I ( Human Intelligence) Not AI! Though I love AI too😉 Building & strategizing together as BIPOC's in leadership. For a long time we as BIPOC's didn't understand the power of collective strategizing, moving as ONE Force. We are UN-stoppable when we recognize there's strength in numbers..... & COLLABORATE as a COLLECTIVE FORCE to elevate our systemically disenfranchised communities, entrepreneurs by harnessing our voices in harmony at tables & also build tables together creating our own space demostrating our economic power .... ....When there's a gathering of Collectively Great Minds, strategies only head ⬆️⬆️"UPWARDS"⬆️⬆️ Let's Go 👏🏾 Mauricio Montes de Oca Rico Paul V. As we come to an end on B Corp Month, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic event we hosted last week. Here are some key insights I gathered: ✅ Businesses aspire to uphold ethical and sustainable standards but often lack clarity on initiating their ESG strategy. This is where the B Impact Assessment (BIA) comes into play! ✅ We need to refine how we communicate the essence of B Corp and the comprehensive sustainability standards it signifies. Sometimes, the B Corp logo doesn't convey its full significance to people. Breaking down the logo and its meaning into impact areas could enhance understanding. ✅ Engaging senior management in the importance of ESG initiatives can be challenging. To bridge this gap, we speak their language, present data supporting our ESG initiatives, and emphasize the efficiency gained by leveraging the (free) BIA tool rather than reinventing the wheel. ✅ Existing B Corps are enthusiastic about the movement and willingly offer mentorships or team sessions while sharing their experiences, both successes and challenges. ✅ Many businesses are doing really well in terms of sustainability, but don't have policies or says of working formalised. A B Leader can be a great support here. ✅ Each of us is responsible for supporting B Corps and raising awareness among end users. ✅ As B Leaders, we can leverage each other's expertise in impact areas and business operations to assist clients in their certification journey. Let's foster collaboration and extend support to emerging B Corps. ✅ Ireland stands out as one of the few countries offering grant support for B Corp certification. ✅ Lastly, as we have 38 current B Corps, compiling our data on team retention, revenue, consumer awareness, emissions, etc will be critical to support the movement. #bcorp #blabireland #bleader #bcorpeurope #bcorpcertified B Lab Ireland
