Not all sports require absolute uniformity in their playing fields. The lines describes follow the structure of the field of play that is anchored by the fixed positions of the FOP , and by the strike zone. Geometric patterns can also be found in sports with less prescriptive settings. The task of the architect is therefore to create, if he can, this atmosphere of interest, to invent secrets that lie beneath the surface … And with this concealment of the obvious there should be a feeling in all artificial construction for beauty of line and contour.

Exploring the Boundaries of Form and Function of Abstract Design Exploring the boundaries of form and function of abstract design, a concept of art with forms, colours and textures in which the thing, place or person is not depicted or suggested, is a broad category of art which breaks the barriers of conventional artistic standards. Abstract design, on the other hand, is one that does not represent things in the real world, characters or event as we find in representational art but rather the formal qualities of the design items. How do you interpret space? In case you missed the last few posts: Designed to atmosphere the environment of AIGA Philadelphia SPACE, located in Old City, this identity represents the many ways that space may be defined. The motif of decontextualized symbols implies the idea that a space derives its substance only from the purposes of those who use it. To further convey this idea that spatial meaning is inextricable from human influence, a video monitor was installed in the gallery displaying symbols that alternate when prompted by a motion sensor. Thus, humans directly determine the symbols, the “spaces,” displayed on the screen. The symbol alternation suspends in the absence of movement, freezing on whatever symbol last appeared. The website mimics this motion thus allowing potential visitors to see if the space is currently in use. See our entire project here: https://lnkd.in/d34pYBrQ
