Earlier this week Dubai’s leadership approved a $35 billion plan to build a new passenger terminal at the emirate’s Al Maktoum International Airport, which will make it five times bigger than Dubai’s main international airport in terms of size and the biggest in the world. The latest KZero Worldswide report on Airports and Customs presents innovative applications for the Metaverse and Generative AI, many of which can be integrated into this ambitious new aviation project. #almaktoum #almaktouminternationairport #dubaiairport #dubaiinternationalairport #metaverse #generativeAI #digitaltwins #DubaiAviation #aviation

Imagine an airport experience so seamless that you simply flow from arrival to destination—no lines, no waiting, no hassles. Dubai is making this vision a reality at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). This $35 billion terminal is designed to process a staggering 260 million passengers per year, leveraging AI and advanced technologies to redefine the entire journey. Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, envisions an operating model where legacy procedures fade into the background, allowing travelers to move freely through check-in, security, and immigration without interruption. This is more than innovation—it's a revolution in passenger experience. By reducing “dwell time” and using AI to eliminate bottlenecks, DWC will create the agility of a small airport on an unprecedented scale. AI has the potential to transform airports into living, intelligent ecosystems—places where data anticipates our needs, enhancing speed, security, and satisfaction. The future of aviation is here—and it's smarter, faster, and driven by AI. ✈️ #AviationInnovation #FutureOfTravel #AIAirports

Gimmick or the future of airline travel communications? ⬇ Meet Qatar Airways, Sama 2.0, The world’s first AI-powered digital human cabin crew. From my point of view, I like this initiative from Qatar Airways, the world is moving to “hybrid everything” when it comes to the use of technology and the advancements of AI. Virtual humans are not new but they are to the airline industry. It is interesting to see how these models can be applied to different industries and scenarios. I look forward to seeing how other airlines use this model. For Qatar specifically, you can find Sama 2.0 in the Qatar Airways app or the QVerse. And what is the QVerse? Find out on the video below ;) Oh, and Sama means Sky in Arabic, now you know. Happy Wednesday 😎 #futurism #innovation #technology #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #AskSama #TogetherWeAreStronger
