#TheBhindMorenaJugaad #JCBasCookingRobot This is old news or could be a tradition, but worth sharing! Never, ever, JCB JCB India Ltd. would have imagined in their wildest imagination that their earth-moving equipment or excavator will be used as a cooking arm! This Instagram reel from Bhind-Morena region famous for its dacoits at one time, in Madhya Pradesh has found a use for JCB that must be a first on the planet! It's titled #ChambalKaBhandaro meaning the Big Collective Feast of the River Chambal Valley! And it's a video of cooking #GhotaAaloo a delicacy of the region in vast quantities! The Hindi article says if you have come to Chambal and not eaten Ghota Aaloo then there's no use coming there ! It takes 3-4 hours to cook in big "kadhais" or humongous iron woks or as Collins dictionary says "A cauldron is a very large round metal pot used for cooking over a fire." https://lnkd.in/ghAPjxH3 In 2022 mainstream media had covered a similar event and shared an Instagram video about it, a bhandara again. "Bhind, situated in the heart of Madhya Pradesh, is celebrated for its ravines, fertile land, and dense forests. However, recent viral videos have brought attention to an unusual practice in the region, eliciting widespread astonishment. In one video, a colossal #JCB crane is utilized as a ladle to pour dal into a large container, while another depicts a cement mixer being used to prepare a well-cooked stew." https://lnkd.in/g8XvFDfx J.C. Bamford Excavators Limited (JCB) is a British multinational manufacturer of equipment for construction, agriculture, waste handling, and demolition. It was founded in 1945 and is based in Rocester, Staffordshire, England. Lord Bamford is best known for his position at JCB, one of Britain’s most successful family-owned businesses. As Chairman of the iconic construction equipment manufacturer since 1975, he has presided over the prolific global expansion of a brand that stands for strength, durability and reliability in products ranging from 46 tonne tracked excavators to children’s toys and DIY equipment. Arguably, his most inspired decision was to set up JCB’s first overseas operation in India. That was in 1979 when few companies would have contemplated setting up business in India. His love for the country and its people, and an absolute conviction in its long-term market potential have paid dividends as JCB now employs over 7,000 people in India, which has become the company’s single largest market. The move was to become a template for the company’s subsequent moves into Brazil, USA and China. https://lnkd.in/gSRtX_Me

Ahmedabad's economy depends on a varied range of industries, with small and medium-sized businesses playing a key role. SMBs in Vatva Industrial Estate play an important role in supplying dyes and speciality chemicals to markets throughout India. The manufacturing industry is robust in places like Naroda, where small and medium-sized businesses manufacture anything from textiles to machinery. Retail and e-commerce firms, particularly in centres like Law Garden and CG Road, blend conventional and digital retail experiences, with SMBs using platforms such as Amazon to reach new consumers. In logistics, SMBs in Sanand are critical to maintaining flawless supply chains for the city's increasing industrial activities. The gems and jewellery industry, centred near Manek Chowk, highlights the exceptional workmanship of local SMBs who produce sought-after gold and silver items. In food processing, SMBs in the Santej area produce packaged snacks and dairy products for both domestic and international markets. Finally, textiles remain a core sector, with small and medium-sized businesses in Saraspur and Odhav carrying on Ahmedabad's rich tradition of cotton and synthetic fabric manufacture. #IndiaSMB #MakeinIndia #Businessgrowth #SMBgrowth #Ahmedabad arindam dey Ram Goswami Writuparna Phalguni Dutta POOJA G. Over the past few days, I've had the privilege of visiting various traditional Market for Navratri celebration.. (LawGarden & Rani No Hajiro, Nehru Nagar Etc..) My observations reaffirm that traditional markets remain vital to India's cultural fabric and economic landscape. Beyond Navratri, Gujarat's retail landscape is evolving with the growth of mall culture and organized markets. However, traditional markets hold a unique charm, offering an immersive shopping experience. Let's revitalize and promote these traditional markets, embracing their distinct character and community spirit. By doing so, we can: - Preserve local heritage - Support small businesses - Foster community engagement - Showcase authentic Gujarati culture Together, let's make these markets thrive, blending tradition with modernity. #navratri #gujarat #traditionalmarket

The Economic Impact of Patola Sarees: Boosting Local Economies and Preserving Tradition Patola sarees, renowned for their intricate designs and vibrant colors, are a testament to India's rich textile heritage. Originating from Patan in Gujarat, these handwoven masterpieces not only symbolize cultural pride but also significantly support local economies. This craft dates back to the 11th century, traditionally worn by royalty and the affluent, now reaching international markets. The production of Patola sarees involves several stages, supporting local businesses and artisans. This industry provides employment to skilled artisans, often involving entire families, thus preserving traditional weaving skills and offering a steady income. Additionally, the craft empowers women by providing them with financial independence and enhancing their social status. Despite its economic contributions, the Patola saree industry faces challenges like high production costs, limited market access, a decline in skilled artisans, and counterfeiting. However, there are growth opportunities through technological integration, government and NGO support, collaborations with designers, and tourism integration. By addressing these challenges and leveraging opportunities, the Patola saree industry can continue to thrive, contributing significantly to local economies and preserving a cherished cultural heritage. Our appreciation and support can make a substantial difference in sustaining these age-old crafts and the communities that depend on them. Do you want an art piece on your desk with a tradition of 4,000 years? Imagine having an art piece on your desk that embodies a tradition spanning 4,000 years. Dhokra Shilpkala, an ancient craft originating from the tribal communities of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha, brings not only beauty but also rich cultural heritage into your environment. The term "Dhokra" is believed to be derived from the Dhokra Damar tribes, renowned as the traditional metal-smiths of Central India. Creating a Dhokra piece involves an intricate metal casting process using the lost-wax technique. Artisans skillfully sculpt patterns in beeswax, encasing them in clay molds. Once the wax is melted away, molten metal is poured into the mold, resulting in stunning artifacts. From exquisite figurines to functional items, this ancient technique produces a variety of beautiful creations that celebrate our heritage while ensuring these traditions continue to thrive in the modern world. But it’s not just about art; it’s about preserving a cultural legacy. If you’re looking for a meaningful piece to admire during work breaks, we invite you to explore our collection. Plus, we promote sustainable living through our exchange and auction policies! Don't forget, we offer B2B bulk orders and worldwide shipping! #IndianArtisans #IndianArt #Handicrafts #CorporateGift #WorkspaceDecor #Handcrafted #SupportLocalArtisans #Dhokra #SustainableCrafts #EmpoweringCommunities #handmadewithlove #business #b2b #sales #businessowners #OfficeDecor

The safest Panipuri? I live in Ananth Nagar, near Electronic City. This is a small thela in one of the cross roads. The differentiation is so clear here. With health and safety being the top priorities of GenZ, this panipuri-wala has cracked it. 1. Panipuri made using mineral water. 2. And he has registered himself in GBP (ex-GMB) too, so that you can rate his service. There is no dearth of ideas, both in terms of business and marketing. The only thing you have to do consistently is, OBSERVE. #marketing #branding #advertising

The year 1960, First May marks the formation of Gujarat and Maharashtra states from the former State of Bombay. As we commemorate the founding anniversaries of Gujarat and Maharashtra, we need to recognize these two esteemed states deeply ingrained in India's cultural and economic fabric. Meanwhile, Maharashtra, characterized by its dynamic energy and spirit of innovation, serves as the proud home to Astik's headquarters in Mumbai, alongside another facility operated under Shree Chakra Organics, located in Tarapur. This deliberate diversification of our manufacturing footprint across distinct geographical regions exemplifies our steadfast commitment to leveraging local resources and fostering prudent risk management strategies. By strategically distributing our operations, we enhance our resilience against unforeseen challenges while simultaneously nurturing growth opportunities within the communities we serve. "Sarees are sourced with love, and delivered with care." The saree industry faces changing trends, demand fluctuations, and rising raw material costs, along with competition from Surat’s cheaper alternatives like Chinese silk. However, the consistent demand for sarees highlights the need for improving supply processes. While government subsidies on machinery help, making the supply chain more efficient is crucial for long-term success. Focusing on better production methods and promoting high-quality materials are essential steps. How can we improve our supply processes to support saree manufacturers better?
