How can India lead the world by 2047? This was the Task assigned by PrimeMinister India #NarendraModi to #TIFAC for #India2047 . For India to be a #Viswaguru in 2047, we need to lead the Technology race by then. Nations cannot aspire to be a superpower on technologies that are bought or borrowed. Indigenisation is therefor the key. For #MakeinIndia to succeed we first need to #ThinkinIndia and for that we need to control and lead the #Thoughtleadership space and #Strategicconsulting. We cannot afford to outsource this to foreign corporates who are in bed with #deepstate and enemies of India. This podcast touches on some of these aspects, including what we need to do right and how do we begin. How do we reap the #Demographicdividend and get ahead of the rest to lead the world and empower the global South. Share your thoughts in comments!!

Best knowledge of leadership comes from a man who has lead india and made them believe that we can win especially abroad. The best thing which I learnt from his leadership skills is that you will have different people with different skill set in your team. You cannot make all and follow a same patter thereby as a leader you must be aware of the skill set of your team and how to use it for the betterment of any project. salute to #souravgaguly

Last week I attended a dinner with Mteto Nyati, Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd Chairman, and incredible South African leaders. It was one of the most inspiring moments I’ve had, and the optimism, energy and excitement is still lingering. Here are a few of the things that stood out most to me in what Mteto shared: 1️⃣ Never forget where you come from: Mteto spoke in great detail about his upbringing, the incredible struggles, and the hope and dreams his mum had for him and his siblings - all of whom are successful professionals. 2️⃣ Go back to basics: in turning Eskom around, Mteto and his board had a clear plan to execute on, but what was most critical was getting the people of Eskom on board. This required realigning employees towards the Eskom vision, ensuring everyone lived the values, and holding every single person to that standard. 3️⃣ Focus on clear communication: communication of the plan internally and with key stakeholders enabled everyone to understand what Mteto and the board intended for Eskom and how to get there. 4️⃣Ownership: Deeply understand the business you’re in. Mteto was surrounded during by a table of experts in their own fields who fired a range of questions at him about strategy, pricing, product, suppliers, sales, revenue, employees etc and there wasn’t a single question across his entire business that he wasn’t able to confidently address. 5️⃣ Leadership: The right leader can shift the direction of even the biggest, and slowest moving ships. It’s remarkable what Eskom, under Mteto and his board, have been able to do over the course of 2 years. Having people with the right vision, intention, grit and energy can help save the day (and the economy in this case). 💡💡💡Thank you Jon Ratcliffe, and & Mteto Nyati highlight of the year!
It was great connecting with these South African entrepreneurs & leaders to discuss courageous and inspirational leadership required in turnaround situations. Thank you Jon Ratcliffe for making all of this happen. #LifelongLearning #ConversationsThatMatter #CapeTown Refilwe Moloto Paul Rowett Bevan Ducasse Rachel Kolisi Geordin Hill-Lewis Jon Ratcliffe Michiel Le Roux Adrian Hewlett Sam Paddock Asha Patel Brett Jordaan
