AI for Education reposted this
I had the pleasure of joining two of our partners, Dwight School and Middle States Association on the Sparking Genius podcast last week. Dianne Drew, Christian Talbot and I had a great conversation on all things AI and education. We talked about the importance of AI literacy, safety, policy, and ethics – including: • Why schools should prepare for AI-powered, personalized learning tools within the next 5-10 years by building AI literacy now. • How to begin rethinking how we prepare students for a job market that increasingly expects them to have AI skills We also delved into some of the AI training and guidelines development we’ve had a chance to do with the staff and leadership at Dwight, and their own internal perspective on the changing landscape of education. Thanks to Dianne and the team at Dwight for the opportunity! You can check out the full podcast in the link in the comments! AI for Education #SparkingGenius #aiforeducation #ailiteracy #aiethics
Besides use cases, I would also like to see schools teach AI fundamentals. A big part of formal education is teaching the theories to kids, so when they encounter a new problem, they can use the basics to quickly find solutions.
Amanda Bickerstaff, sounds like a solid chat. AI's role in education is hella crucial. Curious about the insights you gathered from Dwight’s team?
Amanda Bickerstaff you are always having excellent conversations!
