If there was one platform to invest in (as a foreign law school looking to build India recruitments), LinkedIn would be it. Of this I have no doubt. Plus a few observations on student recruitments. #StudyAbroad #LawSchool #Learn #HigherEd

❓⭐️If you are an incoming law student, here’s 3 things I wish I knew before starting law👩🎓 ✍️📜Find your note taking method EARLY! It’ll likely be very different to your secondary school/sixth form days so experimenting early on will help you when revising for exams ⛔️📚DON’T purchase the textbooks!! Universities have online portals where you can find the books, journals and articles you need to succeed— books are a massive expense you can easily do without !! 💻💻Get applying for open days/insight schemes EARLY!! Freshers is an overwhelming and intense time, and then you are thrown in to the work— it is easy to get distracted with a new lifestyle, course etc. so make sure you are setting reminders for applying for schemes if you are interested in doing so!

Legal education in India have nil quality at all. The only option to rectify the same is to provide virtually enabled legal education at nominal fees under certificate approaches. One may get certificate in three months and maximum three at a time and 24 certificates together with one year court experiences may provide Bachelor of Laws. At present have nil quality at all and also the legal enactments in India. There is no need for college education in these regards and virtual learning must be a reality in our land.If our IT Secretaries are futile to the core, they cannot think innovative ways.

The challenges faced by the Indian legal education system Read the article about India The Indian legal education system faces several challenges: 1. Outdated Curriculum: The curriculum is not aligned with contemporary legal needs, lacking practical training on aspects like legal tech and arbitration. 2. Lack of Quality Faculty: Shortage of experienced and skilled faculty affects the quality of education provided in law schools. 3. Limited Infrastructure: Many law schools lack adequate infrastructure and resources for effective learning and research. 4. Entrance Exam Discrepancies: Disparities in admission criteria and the reliance on entrance exams create barriers for deserving candidates. 5. Theoretical Orientation: The focus on theoretical aspects over practical skills like advocacy and drafting impedes the preparedness of law graduates for real-world legal practice. 6. Insufficient Clinical Legal Education: Inadequate opportunities for experiential learning through clinics and internships hinder skill development in students. 7. Regulatory Issues: The regulatory framework for legal education needs reform to ensure standardization and accountability across institutions. In addressing these challenges, emphasis should be placed on curriculum reform, faculty development, enhancing infrastructure, expanding experiential learning opportunities, and revisiting regulatory mechanisms to ensure quality legal education in India. Participation teaches a lot. Lessons make us better. Experiences lead to improvement. A beginner today is an expert for tomorrow and vice-versa. Learning to grasp right opportunities at the right time and in a right way is a rare skill. I am privileged to have the trust and support of my department and faculties. It is an honour to clear the interview and be selected to volunteer for the Literary Committee as this is the highest designation for the freshers in the committee. My team's belief in me helps me push my potential further. Success and failure are uncertain but trial is a certainty. Hence, we should always give our best without worrying about the result and accept the outcome as it is and keep bettering ourselves further. I tried for Legal Aid Committee as well but could clear only the Literary Committee. Did I lose hope? No! I will try again for the higher designation with more experience and without the tag of a fresher which is sometimes restrictive in nature. Opportunities keep knocking from time to time we just need to hear the knock and open the door at the right time before they leave. Get Up! The Sky Awaits you! Reach your Infinity! Some key issues include outdated curriculum, lack of practical training, overemphasis on theoretical knowledge, limited faculty development programs, insufficient resources and infrastructure, and the need for more specialized courses to meet evolving legal demands. Additionally, there is a gap between academic learning and industry requirements, leading to a mismatch in skills possessed by graduates and the skills needed in the legal profession. To address these challenges, reforming the curriculum to include more practical training, enhancing faculty development programs, increasing resources and infrastructure, promoting research and innovation in legal education, and fostering closer collaboration between academia and the industry are crucial steps. The Bar Council of India's (BCI) proposed reforms in legal education are vital for modernizing the field. These reforms aim to update the curriculum to include contemporary legal practices and technology, enhance practical training through internships and moot courts, emphasize ethics and professionalism, introduce specialized courses, and establish frameworks for continuing legal education. Additionally, the focus on pro bono work and public interest law will promote social justice. These changes are essential for preparing law graduates to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving legal landscape and maintaining a competent, ethical, and effective legal profession.

Expectation vs. Reality in Law School When I first started law school, I noticed that many freshers, including myself, felt overwhelmed with exam writing. We often wondered: What should I include in my answer? What’s the examiner really looking for? Over time, I realized that the key is to focus on the examiner's intention. It's not about a long or short summary; it’s about showcasing your clarity and depth of understanding of the topic. The examiner wants to see more than just information; they want to know how well you’ve grasped the subject and can apply it. Building this skill takes time and patience. Keep pushing forward, and one day, you’ll handle exams with confidence and ease. My advice to freshers: Be patient with yourself and work on truly understanding each topic. With hard work and perseverance, you’ll soon tackle any question that comes your way! #LawSchool #ExamTips #LegalStudies #ClarityIsKey #FreshersAdvice
