When Liam finished high school, university wasn’t on the horizon. Instead, he followed his passion for hands-on work, building a career in trades. Over the years, he became a seasoned professional, training new apprentices on job sites and sharing his expertise with the next generation. The more he mentored, the more he realised how much he loved teaching. But when Liam thought about making it official, becoming a trainer, he hit a roadblock: “𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙄𝙑 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.” That requirement felt like a mountain he couldn’t climb. He couldn’t afford to take months off work to go back to study, and starting from scratch didn’t make sense. After all, he was already teaching informally every day. A colleague introduced Liam to 𝗥𝗣𝗟 (𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴), and it immediately made sense. Why not use the years he’d spent training others to gain the qualification he needed? The process was practical. Liam worked with an assessor to document his experience, from running apprentice workshops to creating training materials. His on-the-job expertise, things he’d done a hundred times, formed the foundation of his RPL application. When Liam received his 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗩 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, it opened new doors he’d never imagined. He transitioned into a formal teaching role at a local training organisation, where he could mentor and inspire others full-time. For Liam, RPL wasn’t just about getting a qualification; it was about turning his experience into an opportunity to do what he loved on a bigger scale. Sometimes, the best teachers are the ones who’ve been there, and RPL gave him the chance to share his journey. 👉 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹?
