Here we go with the first new part of my website! The toolbox will be where I share activities that I use regularly to improve my thinking and action and this week it's the Force Field Analysis (cue star wars music!) https://shorturl.at/NxIGc

In most videos, I start with a calm and low-beat-rate music to set the mood. Music has the ability to evoke strong emotions. I then slowly increase the speed of the background music to get target's attention, and increase their heart rate and blood pressure with a high BPM (tempo). Here you become more alert and energetic. The video will end with a powerful mnemonic ending, with an almost sudden drop, when everything becomes silent again, just when I deliver the final call-to-action message. Here’s some tips for you. 1. Start with an attention-grabbing hook. 2. Keep each scene short and impactful. 3. Use music to maintain energy. 4. Incorporate dynamic visuals and b-roll. 5. End with a strong closing statement.

One of the most common issues I hear in mixes is... A lack of depth. You don't want everything sitting on the same plane. Think about how you want the listener to experience the song. Use panning to create a sense of space. Your lead elements should feel closer. So use EQ and reverb to create that sense of proximity. Push supporting elements further back with subtle reverb, delay, EQ, and a closer panning. The goal when mixing: To make the listener feel surrounded by the music. Not just hearing it from a flat surface.

What we focus on filters the world around us so aggressively that it literally shapes what we see. Discovering the tendencies of our minds, shining light of our awareness on our distracting and unhelpful brain patterns will gradually shift our perception and open our vision towards new horizons. Our capacity to step out of limited tunnel vision into the freedom of choice of perspective, can save us unnecessary pain and misunderstanding.
