🚨 A Pitfall in the AI Product Surge: Designing Solutions for Processes AI Will Eventually Eliminate 🚨** One of the biggest oversights in the current rush toward generative AI solutions is a tendency to propose AI-powered tools for processes, components, or practices that AI will ultimately eliminate. This shortsighted approach stems from viewing AI through the same lens we’ve used for software, operations, and infrastructure over the past decade. Modern gAI isn’t just another software layer—it’s a fundamentally different shift. Unlike traditional software solutions, AI can absorb and automate entire workflows, many designed around limitations that AI will surpass. By building AI solutions around these legacy practices, we’re creating products that will quickly become redundant or obstruct actual progress. Here are a few questions to ask before jumping into AI solution development: - Is the process we’re automating truly necessary, or is it based on outdated limitations? - Does this solution enhance human creativity, strategic decision-making, or essential expertise rather than merely replicate existing workflows? - Are we future-proofing our product by anticipating what AI will transform or eliminate rather than doubling down on the current state? For AI to create lasting value, we must look beyond today's processes and design solutions that anticipate tomorrow's transformations. Successful AI integration isn’t about automating everything we do today but enabling the innovation we’ll need tomorrow. #AI #FutureOfWork #Innovation #TechStrategy
