Uzbekistan-based carrier My Freighter will add China to its network after being being authorised for flights in the country. The growing airline did not say when operations to and from the country would begin, but confirmed it had gained certification in a LinkedIn post on April 25. My Freighter said: “We are pleased to announce that MY FREIGHTER has successfully obtained CCAR129 certification, permitting operations on routes to and from Mainland China. This certification marks a significant step in our commitment to providing high-quality service and expanding our global operations.” According to Planespotters, the airline currently has three Boeing 767-300 freighters and one Boeing 747-200 freighter in its fleet. Last month, My Freighter took delivery of its third newly converted 767-300 passenger to freighter (P2F) aircraft from US lessor Air Transport Services Group (ATSG). The airline took delivery of its 747-200F in October 2022 and said at the time it planned to add five more, although reduced demand in 2023 resulted in many airlines changing their fleet plans. The airline’s specialist air cargo verticals include dangerous goods, perishables and brokerage and certification. It also offers passenger flights. CMA CGM Cargo Takes Flight: A Fleet of 777 Freighters Arrives in June, CMA CGM Cargo is about to take its airfreight operations to new heights. The French shipping and logistics giant is expecting a major boost to its fleet this June with the arrival of not one, not two, but three Boeing 777 freighters. This isn't CMA CGM's first foray into air cargo. They launched their dedicated air freight division, CMA CGM Air Cargo, in February 2021. The company already boasts a fleet of A330 freighters, but the arrival of the 777s marks a significant leap forward. The first 777 is slated to launch transpacific routes connecting Asia with North America this summer. Specifically, expect to see it gracing the skies between Hong Kong, Chicago, and Seoul. A second aircraft will follow in Q4 of 2024, focusing on routes between mainland China and North America.
