1hIn this attached image is of the SAFRAN engine, centrifugal compressor, for an AIRBUS HELICOPTER , also with propellers at the tip of the wings The red lines that you see have been added by me (ignorance is very bold) Explanation When the helicopter needs all the power for the vertical takeoff, the combustion gas passes through all the turbines, that is, without changes yet When the helicopter has to propel itself forward, part of the combustion gas flow SKIPS the last two turbines by means of a bypass, which is the annular conical duct that I represent in the image by the red lines, it is like a hybrid of a turboshaft engine and a pure jet engine, by not squeezing the kinetic energy of the gas it is used for propulsion, DISREGARDING THE PROPELLER ENGINES AT THE WING TIPS. This combustion gas purge is achieved by means of an annular petal valve ceramics and the main lifting propeller remains PARTLY as an AUTOGYRO achieving the support of a classic wing that the assembly lacks
