Captain Luis Orjuela from @acdac Colombia is now part of the AAP Committee, his experience and knowledge is now available for all the Region. Soon a Peruvian Pilot from Siplap will join some seminars and courses at the NTSB and IATA to start the accreditation process, will be a big step forward in Safety and Technical support for Peru and all the Region. This week, #congress is considering legislation to reauthorize the #FAA, which happens every five years. In the bill currently being considered in the Senate, H.R. 3995, there are some great provisions related to air travel accessibility for the #blind. These include training requirements for assisting passengers with disabilities, better access standards for the accessibility of in-flight entertainment, and improved access to airline websites. Also, the bill would create a pilot registration program for service animal users, which would simplify the process for flying with guide dogs.
