The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IND) played host to a naturalization ceremony November 12 that celebrated 47 individuals who became new U.S. citizens. 🇺🇸 Amid vibrant displays of American flags in the airport’s appropriately named Civic Plaza, individuals who have immigrated from 24 countries spanning the globe raised their right hands and took the Oath of Citizenship surrounded by friends and family. Distinguished leaders and guests from the Assistant U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, Office of Senator Mike Braun and the Office of Congressman Andre Carson attended the event. The airport’s Honor Guard, made up of airport police and firefighters, also presented the colors and the Ben Davis Premiers performed the National Anthem. The ceremony was presided over by the Honorable Jane E. Magnus-Stinson. Newly naturalized citizen Abdullah Zedan, the youngest of the candidates, led the Pledge of Allegiance. Gadi Rwenyaguza, the oldest of the newly naturalized citizens, was presented with an American flag from The International Center.

Any moment now, the President is going to announce long-awaited immigration protections for immigrant spouses of US citizens and eased employment visa pathways for DACA recipients and Dreamers. Our current immigration system is heavy-laden with roadblocks and barriers that separate families and make a pathway to citizenship impossible. While these changes announced today are not a comprehensive solution, they will bring much-needed relief to hundreds of thousands of mixed-status families across the US. In short: this is HUGE, and just the beginning. https://lnkd.in/gCHXXxmk

My firm handles hundreds of writ of mandamus cases a year for immigration case delays with USCIS. But when is an immigration case actually delayed? It has to be “unreasonable.” Most of the USCIS forms have a processing time on the https://lnkd.in/eSNKXkvK Forms are “unreasonably” delayed at different times. If you or a client have a family based green card application, my office has had great success with filing a delay lawsuit after a year. However, an affirmative asylum case is not “unreasonably” delayed until it’s been pending about four years, and the same can be said about VAWA based green card applications. This is because the standard processing times, background checks, investigations, and backlogs for these types of cases are different. I handle delay cases for work permits, U Nonimmigrant visa petitions, family based green card applications, affirmative asylum cases, and consular processing interviews. Are you wondering if your or a client’s immigration case is “unreasonably” delayed? I can help. Message me on LinkedIn or call my office at 410-244-5005 to set a consultation.

Yesterday, ICE agents raided an establishment in Newark, NJ without producing a warrant & detained individuals including a U.S. military veteran. As racial profiling and raids ramp up, it is critical that individuals and businesses know their rights. For instance, businesses can take steps to distinguish between public spaces like lobbies and private spaces for employees, customers, patients, etc. Immigration agents can enter a private area only if they have a judicial warrant or if exigent circumstances exist. A judicial warrant must be signed by a judge and say “U.S. District Court” or identify a State Court at the top. Otherwise, agents need your permission to enter private areas of your business or premises. Businesses can learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eCKwikQZ

THE FRAUDULENT SWING-STATE MIGRANT POPULATION INCREASE “In 1854, amid sectional tension over the future of slavery in the Western territories, Senator Stephen A. Douglas proposed the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which he believed would serve as a final compromise measure. Through the invocation of 'popular sovereignty,' (let the states decide) Douglas’s proposal would allow the citizens of the Kansas and Nebraska Territories, rather than the federal government, to decide whether to permit or prohibit slavery within their borders.” “Seeking to leverage the principles of Popular Sovereignty, immigration aid societies in both the North and South encouraged settlement in Kansas, where two opposing territorial governments and constitutions formed as a localized civil war exploded. 'Border ruffians' fought bitterly with Free-State ‘jayhawkers’ and both carried out violent raids and committed MASSIVE VOTER-FRAUD [sound familiar?!], leading to national headlines describing ‘Bleeding Kansas’ as the epicenter of America’s sectional divide.” Swing State Migrant Population Increase Since 2021: Pennsylvania – up 241% Georgia – up 401% Arizona – up 734% Michigan – up 775% (our state is the highest among swing states!!!) (Federal Court Data; compiled by Syracuse University) These facts prove why the current administration, as it was in the days before the civil war and the formation of the new, Republican Party, has also been involved with ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AID ACTIVITIES regarding ILLEGAL MIGRANTS. They’ve allowed them to UNLAWFULLY enter our nation, so as to ILLEGALLY gain their votes by placing them in the battle-ground, swing states for their despicable, fraudulent purposes. They give them all kinds of “free” things (with our taxpayer money of course) to win them over. These governmental leaders are LAWLESS, wicked TRAITORS of this nation that God founded for His purposes. In their unquenchable lust for power, they have become more and more desperate in their behind-closed-door activities. At this point they’re willing to do anything, including the mindless action of allowing our enemies to pour in whose single goal is to destroy them! Through the prayers of His faithful servants, the Lord will soon, and very soon, deal with their LAWLESSNESS that has emboldened them to plan even more blatant, in-our-face, unashamed LAWLESSNESS. Their desperation has reached new lows to such a degree that we have never seen before within our borders. This is why on October 12, 2024, the Day of Atonement, a call for a day of prayer and fasting is being proclaimed. You can be involved from wherever you live, with other like-minded believers if possible, repenting of individual, and corporate sins, seeking the Lord’s favor in order to repossess territory the enemy has gained within our nation. If those responsible for implementing service delivery in this country stopped spending excessive time in luxury hotels and overseas trips, and instead focused on visiting our public institutions that provide essential services, experiencing these services firsthand repeatedly, would they truly be satisfied with the quality each time? How would they honestly assess their experience? Would they call it world-class? Or, after a short while, would they find it intolerable and prefer to pay for expensive private alternatives, funded by the very salaries paid to them by the people of this nation? There seems to be a widespread disrespect for those we consider to be of lower social standing, which results in the denial of high-quality, world-class public services to them. This mentality among the so-called elites is dangerous because, over time, it creates more and more enemies. And when the tide turns, those considered 'nobodies' will not be the ones worrying about their safety, but the elites will. We are sitting on a ticking time bomb. I pray we don't experience another Black Wednesday. #Accountability #PublicService #Leadership #GoodGovernance #ServiceDelivery #SocialEquality #Corruption #PublicSectorReform #Elites #CitizensRights #Transparency #NationalUnity #TimeForChange
