Two things I find to be consistently exceptional about Airtable: One - The product (undeniable!) Two - The unthinkable amount of energy my brain needs to burn everytime I try to make even a scrap of sense of how their market, product and pricing fit together. I really have no idea what's behind this or what's really involved. Value needs to be paid and finding the sweetspot is never straight forward. I just know that no other company in this space confuses me so consistently. I've been in plenty of conversations about this and the sentiment from others nearly always somewhere around 'kinda pissed, very confused'. If anyone can sum this up in a simple story that isn't 'You love our product. Go away. Have you tried Notion?' I'd love to hear it. (Yes, I know Notion is different!) Again - undeniably great product. I just wish helping others see it's value didn't involve them inevitably smashing into a wall! Love the product. Often confused. Seems I'm not the only one. PS. How many bottles of champagne did Softr, Stacker, Pory and the like just crack open!
Exciting news! Airtable Portals is now in public beta, making it easier to collaborate with vendors, partners, and clients outside your organization.
It's great but your pricing team got out of control. I can have the same features (with using Airtable as backend) for less than 25USD per month. 120USD is insane :)
What's the difference to a normal interface? Just the login page, white label experience and the pricing?
Great! I don’t understand the pricing, is it $120 for 15 external portal users?
Congrats on the launch. So much great functionality coming out of Airtable these days.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!
Okay, this is changes things. A LOT. 🔥

2wAmazing feature, I was really looking forward to this until I saw the pricing 😭 100$/ month for 15 users and 1 portal will unfortunately not be an option for smaller companies with tighter budgets. So we'll continue looking at Softr or other alternatives then...
