Found in the Field... A trifecta of attic exhaust types. But the winning play here would have been just one type (in the quantity needed for the attic size) to avoid short-circuiting the airflow. Thanks for finding and sharing the 2nd most common mistake in attic ventilation, Jaycee Wilkerson, Sustainable Roofing, Bryan, TX. #foundinthefield #atticventilation #donotmixexhaustvents

Found in the Field... "This is from a new house. The lower vents are Box Vents (exhaust) being used as intake. Also, the Box Vents high on the roof are on both sides of the roof. It is not clearly known that Box Vents should not be used as intake unless specified by the manufacturer. And few builders know to keep Box Vents that are high on the roof on 1 side." -- Mike Palmer, Alliance Inspections, Beaverton, OR Two great points, Mike. Thanks for finding and sharing this. Please check with the vent maker for proper usage and placement. When Box Vents straddle a roof near the peak like this, one side could be called into intake duty due to wind dynamics at any moment (which means they could be ingesting weather). And make sure the manufacturer designed the Box Vents to be low on the roof as intake. #foundinthefield #atticventilation

A "grate" way to avoid water going into your home is installing grate drain. This lovely grate drain is installed outside of the home so that water goes through the drain into the sewer rather than seeping through the basement. Want to learn more on how we install grate drains? Come watch the YouTube video on this link! #gratedrainisgrate #Waterproofing #streamingwater https://lnkd.in/g_mMBJ-z
