Description:
Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics industry. Strong understanding of logistics processes, supply chain management, and transportation operations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite. Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to achieve and exceed sales targets. Client Acquisition and Retention: Identify and prospect potential clients in the logistics industry through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, referrals, and online research. Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the company's services and value proposition. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction and retention. Sales Strategy and Planning: Assist in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and objectives. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to develop customized solutions for clients and address their specific logistics challenges. Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential clients, outlining the scope of services, pricing, and terms. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes while maximizing revenue and profitability. Work closely with internal teams such as operations and finance to ensure seamless execution of client projects and adherence to contractual obligations. Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze sales performance metrics such as revenue, pipeline development, and conversion rates. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review, providing insights into sales trends, opportunities, and challenges. Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to optimize sales effectiveness and efficiency. Customer Service and Satisfaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to facilitate smooth communication and problem-solving.
