In an industry whose PMF barely extends beyond a permissionless offshore casino 🫠, stablecoins have been signalled as "one of crypto’s most obvious 'killer apps'."   Researchers observed that the number of monthly stablecoin-sending addresses has decoupled from market volatility. The upshot? I've been in the crypto scene since 2014 and attended more than 100 events. Here’s what’s worked for me in getting new deals and partnerships: 1. Know who's who: before the event, figure out who you wanna meet. Learn a bit about them so you can chat them up like a pro. 2. Nail your elevator pitch: get your 30-second pitch down pat. Make it interesting and tweak it for whoever you're talking to. 3. Pre-book meetings: lock in meetups with decision makers and big players in the market beforehand. Don't leave it to chance. 4. Party smart: the real deals go down at afterparties. Show up, be valuable, have fun, and make connections. 5. Use event apps: these apps can be gold. Find people, set up meetings, and keep your schedule on point. 6. Handy contact info: ditch the paper cards. Go digital with QR codes or stuff on LinkedIn/Telegram. 7. Follow up fast: don’t wait forever. Hit them up within 24 hours to keep things fresh. 8. Target key conversations: don’t try talking to everyone. Focus on quality chats with important folks. 9. Stay on trend: know your stuff. Be ready to talk about the latest industry hype and show you’re on top of it.
