I’m excited to share the story of Dr. Nitya Wadhwa who, through collaborative teamwork, sought to prove that it’s impossible to separate the mom from the baby, because they are truly one. Immediate Kangaroo Care (iKMC) is transforming the way we care for preterm babies and their mothers. By implementing skin-to-skin contact, infant mortality has been proven to be reduced by 25% and we have the capacity to save even more lives.
