"Don't let the same people back into your life if you're expecting a different result." Years ago, I made the mistake of letting someone back into my professional circle, hoping that things would be different this time. I believed they had changed and that our collaboration would finally be fruitful. But I quickly realized that nothing had changed—the same issues resurfaced, and I found myself facing the same frustrations. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: change must come from within, and unless a person has demonstrated real growth, allowing them back into your life or career is often a setup for disappointment. It’s essential to recognize patterns and protect your progress by making smart decisions about who you allow in your space. From that point on, I’ve been more discerning in my professional relationships, ensuring that my energy is invested in people and projects that align with my goals and values. This mindset shift has not only preserved my peace but also contributed to my personal and professional growth. #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #Boundaries #SelfAwareness #CareerGrowth #WorkplaceWellbeing #MindsetMatters #SuccessMindset #BusinessStrategy #AuthenticLeadership #PositiveChange #ProtectYourEnergy #GrowthMindset #LifeLessons #Inspiration #Motivation #SelfEmpowerment #CareerSuccess #LinkedIn

Who you spend time with defines who you become. Every conversation you engage in, every story you hear, and every idea you absorb shapes your thoughts, beliefs, and actions. That’s why the company you keep matters more than you think. Imagine this: You spend time with growth-oriented people—they constantly discuss opportunities, solutions, and ways to improve. Soon, you start adopting a similar mindset and focus on growth. You surround yourself with complainers—they highlight only problems and negativity. Over time, their outlook might influence your perception, making you feel stuck or limited. This applies to both personal and professional life: 1️⃣ In your career: Spending time with mentors, ambitious colleagues, or those in your desired field can help you absorb valuable insights, habits, and inspiration to aim higher. 2️⃣ In friendships: Having friends who challenge you to learn, encourage you to take risks, and support you in tough times builds resilience and progress. ✨ Remember, your circle is your biggest investment. I consider myself blessed in many ways—including the unexpected events and difficult challenges I’ve encountered throughout my life. Some of these challenges took root as early as childhood, shaping my perspective and resilience. Like life, business seldom goes exactly according to plan. There are twists and turns, setbacks, and moments that test us in ways we couldn’t anticipate. But it’s in those moments of adversity that we discover who we truly are—and how capable we can be. Here’s what I’ve learned: 🌟 Adversity teaches adaptability. Facing the unexpected forces us to think on our feet and adjust our approach—an invaluable skill in leadership and business. 🌟 Challenges build empathy. When you’ve navigated tough times, you develop a deeper understanding of others’ struggles and a stronger ability to lead with compassion. 🌟 Setbacks strengthen resolve. Overcoming difficulties helps you approach future challenges with greater confidence and determination. As a leader, I’ve come to realize that the lessons I’ve learned in my personal life are the same ones that guide me in my professional life. The ability to listen, to adapt, and to persevere comes not from the easy moments but from the hard ones. What about you? How has overcoming adversity in your life shaped the way you handle challenges at work? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. #Leadership #Resilience #PersonalGrowth #OvercomingChallenges #WorkplaceSuccess

What is holding you back from reaching your potential? When I asked a number of senior professionals (age 40-55) what % of their potential have they reached by this stage in their lives, the answers I received were under 30%. 30% after being in the workplace for 20-30 years!!! I wasn’t shocked. I saw their transparency and vulnerability. I saw regret and emotion in their eyes. Why 30%? 100% of them said: #comfortzone They used phrases like the following: ‘I wasn’t comfortable to seize the opportunities.’ ‘I was afraid to try new things.’ ‘I wasn’t good at…’ ‘I don’t like to be uncomfortable.’ ‘I didn’t want to fail.’ ‘I didn’t know how…’ ‘I didn’t want to look stupid to my family members.’ The COMFORT ZONE is a dangerous place! It’s like a glass bubble closed around you. You can see all the fun things going on around you, but you are safe and comfortable in there! Your #potential needs you to burst the comfort bubble! Come on, step outside your comfort zone and try something new, something that you’ve always wanted to try! Your potential is related to your #purpose and fulfilling what you were created to be! What is your thinking on this? #leadership #transformation #learning #growth #limitedbeliefs #syncingdreamstoactions #reachyourpotential

Embrace Change for Growth! By reflecting on the career/life, this is perhaps one of the most powerful things have been reminded of — to move the wrong people out of your corner to create space for the right ones. In both our professional and personal life, keeping people in our circle who are not committed to where we are going, what we value, or to our best interest can be a big drag on us or a big burden. By letting go of the wrong people, we make space for those who bring out the best in us. It's about not throwing away relationships lightly but knowing when it's time to save yourself and maybe even us in the process for the sake of mutual growth and well-being. By fostering connections with the right people, we open doors to new opportunities, ideas, and perspectives that drive us forward. Surround yourself with those who lift you up and align with your vision. It's a crucial step towards achieving your true potential Creating the relationships that connect us to the doors we want opened for us, introduces us to potential we could not have found on our own. #Networking #GrowthMindset #PersonalDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth #Leadership #Success #Inspiration #well_being #mentalhealth #motivation

In the pursuit of our career goals, getting the balance right between pursuing our own needs and people pleasing can be a challenge ⚖️ On one hand, empowerment means owning our ambitions, taking charge of our destiny, and fearlessly pursuing our dreams. Yet, on the other hand, there's the temptation to prioritise the needs and expectations of others above our own. But here's the thing: both extremes can lead to negative outcomes in our careers. Too much people-pleasing can result in burnout, resentment, and a lack of fulfillment. Conversely, solely focusing on our own goals without considering the needs of others can damage relationships and hinder collaboration. Take the time to reflect on your priorities, values, and boundaries. Know when to say yes and when to say no. And remember, true empowerment comes from finding harmony between pursuing your own goals and uplifting those around you 🌟 #empowerment #selfcare #pursueyourgoals #careercoaching #careercoach #careergoals #careerchange #careercoachingtips #coaching #coachingbusiness #bristolcareercoach #leadershipcoaching #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipcoach #leadershiptips #leadership

How often do we put ourselves back on the shelf because we believe we are "not ready," "not qualified," or "not good enough"? That voice needs to be silenced. Growth starts when we push ourselves to take on what appears impossible; it doesn't happen in the comfort zone. Start that project you've been putting off. 👉 Apply for that role you believe you're not ready for. 👉 Take the risk. The fact is that nobody ever feels completely prepared. However, confidence is a result of action rather than a requirement. Let's quit allowing self-doubt to limit our potential and begin seizing the possibilities that make us uncomfortable. On the other side of fear is the growth we want. 🌟 What action can you take today? #PersonalGrowth #SelfImprovement #GrowthMindset #LeadershipDevelopment #CareerAdvice #SuccessTips #OvercomingFear #ConfidenceBoost #InspirationDaily #MindsetMatters #WomenInLeadership #ProfessionalDevelopment #LevelUp #StepOutOfYourComfortZone

You are the average of the five people you surround yourself with. In the early days of my career, I didn’t give much thought to my inner circle. I spent time with whoever was around and didn’t really think about how they might be influencing me. But one day, during a challenging project, I realized just how much my energy, ideas, and drive were shaped by the people closest to me. The ones who encouraged me, believed in me, and gave me that extra nudge made all the difference. 👉 Spend time with those who push you to learn, adapt, and improve. Their drive will naturally influence you. 👉 Find encouragers who lift you up, rather than weigh you down. 👉 Surround yourself with folks who challenge your ideas and broaden your thinking - and not just agree with everything you say. 👉 Distance yourself from those who drain your energy or hold you back (This one is hard but necessary).
