I came across a saying today that got me thinking: 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜. As a developer, this resonates. Every project often starts from scratch—just a blank screen and an idea. From there, we add what’s essential, shaping it line by line, piece by piece. From a human perspective, though, building something out of 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 feels like a bigger challenge. How do we create something meaningful from emptiness? We can approach it just as we do in development: we gather our own 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, we learn, adapt, experiment, and see what works. In both life and code, things will come together—sometimes with patience, sometimes with persistence, and always with purpose. Remember, creativity flows best when we allow it to. Take it step by step, and trust that you can create anything. If this resonates, I'd love to hear your thoughts—feel free to share them in the comments below. #CreativeMindset #InspirationForDevelopers #BuildFromNothing #LifeAndCode #WomenInTech

Reflecting on My Tech Journey My first steps into the tech field began with building static websites, a challenge that felt monumental at the time. I remember spending over a week creating a sprite and a Kopiko clone, a task that seemed incredibly daunting given my non-tech background. Now, looking back, those early projects seem surprisingly simple, but they were a crucial part of a transformative journey. From those early days, my path has been driven by a deep desire for knowledge and growth. Each challenge has been a learning opportunity, shaping my skills and fueling my passion for technology. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to explore and innovate in the tech world. Exciting things are on the horizon, and I can't wait to share them with you! #TechJourney #WebDevelopment #MERNStack #ContinuousLearning #TechTransformation

Hey LinkedIn ⭐️ It's been a minute (Okay, it's been five months? Is the passage of time even real?) This hiatus served me greatly. With my increase of clients with my creative web agency, The Medina Creative, I needed to take a step back and realign my priorities. I've thought a lot about what the tech community means to me, and how I want to be able to show up authentically. As much as I want to provide technical resources to BIPOC tech professionals, I think there is clear evidence on the market that there's also a strong need for spaces that support not just their professional growth but their unique experiences and challenges in the tech industry. I want The Medina Creative to be more than just a service provider; I want it to be a community hub that uplifts, educates, and empowers. I'm excited to pivot. I'm still building the concept in my head, but I would love to get involved in webinars, workshops, and networking events. These spaces will be for learning, sharing experiences, and building a network. I've realized that the strength of our community is not just in the code we write or the designs we create, but in the stories we share and the support we give each other. Let's grow together in tech, not just as professionals, but as a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community. Stay tuned for more updates, and I can't wait to connect (or reconnect) with many of you on this new journey. . . . . . . . . . #TheMedinaCreative #TechDiversity #CommunityGrowth #InclusiveTech #softwaredevelopment #developers #developercommunity #dev #developerlife #bipoc

Thrilled to share an incredible experience at the #AxeHacks event on March 16th, organized by #GirlsWhoCode, where I had the pleasure of collaborating with an amazing team: Chinny Igwuilo, Ayisha R., Rama Yakkala, and Hana Geremew. Together, we developed "UniTech," a full-stack application designed to monitor book prices at the UNCC Barnes and Noble and on eBay. Leveraging #Figma for a seamless front-end design, and #PythonFlask along with #BeautifulSoup and #Requests libraries at the back-end, we crafted a solution that promises to make price tracking more accessible and efficient. Our journey from concept to prototype within the span of a single day was nothing short of exhilarating. This project not only honed my skills in #WebDevelopment and #PriceMonitoring but also underscored the importance of teamwork, innovation, and dedication to creating impactful solutions. I am deeply grateful to my teammates and mentors for their insights, perseverance, and spirit of collaboration. A huge shoutout to the #GirlsWhoCode team and the College of Computing and Informatics at #UNCC for organizing such a transformative event. Participating in Axe Hacks has been a pivotal step in my journey towards becoming a more proficient and innovative software developer. #FullStackDevelopment #TechForGood #WomenInTech #Innovation #CareerDevelopment #JobSearch #Networking #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork

Happy New Week, Tech Family! ❤️ This week, we encourage every techie to start normalizing the act of sharing updates and opportunities with others. Your goal shouldn’t just be to rise alone, it’s about helping your entire circle grow and succeed. I recently read an article highlighting how those involved in #fraudulent activities often help each other rise, but we tend to hold back when it comes to legitimate skills. Let’s change that! It’s never too late to lift each other. Let’s commit to sharing those valuable connections and opportunities with our friends this week. Share your: ✅Favorite coding resources ✅Industry Insights ✅Career hacks ✅Valuable connections Remember, the network you build today could be the key to your future success. 💡 Empower friends, empower yourself!
