According to Statista, the projected revenue in Bangladeshi hospitals market is expected to reach US$4.99bn in 2024. It is also anticipated an annual growth rate (CAGR 2024-2029) of 9.79%, resulting in a market volume of US$7.96bn by 2029. This indicates quality healthcare services has been on the rise in Bangladesh. Quality healthcare requires accreditation where international surveyors audit the hospital against evidence-based standards. Of where, the market demands more Bangladeshi hospitals for accreditation. Now, AACI (American Accreditation Commission International) Gold Seal is the best option for Bangladesh. Why? In Bangladesh, no local accreditation or standards are applied to the hospitals. So, Bangladeshi hospitals need to select accreditation system that directly help hospitals for preparing the final survey and do the pre-assessment. The accreditation body should involve with the staff to make familiar those standards. Plus, encourage them to comply with those standards to gain the ‘Gold’ seal. AACI exactly does the same to meet all those expectations. AACI also meet the hospital financial expectation as the survey fees is reasonable. Discovery Health developed an integrated hospital care rating tool, and has been used to measure the satisfaction levels of their members across the country. The first results were published on the Discovery website in December 2022. These ratings have been thoughtfully developed through extensive collaboration with hospital groups and healthcare professionals nationwide. Discovery's approach uses the established hospital comparison categories: “better than expected,” “as expected,” and “less than expected.” This framework ensures recognition and celebration of hospitals performing above average, while constructively identifying areas for improvement without diminishing the efforts of other hospitals. It also allows for a process of continuous improvement where we collectively work to improve the overall performance of the system over time.
