I have to believe in myself every morning because the children that count on me and believe in me don't take a break. I have to push myself beyond challenge and beyond excuses. The reason why I do what I do is to create a place at SOOFA Ranch where we can really change lives through working with horses. That’s why we’re building the Ride Strong Multi-Use Community Center – a place where children, veterans, and families can heal, grow, and thrive. 🌟 Gratitude Series: Honoring Sharice Davids' Office 🌟 When the Johnson County, Kansas Domestic Courts began utilizing the Triage System, a stark reality emerged in my work: over 50% of families in the domestic arena couldn’t afford the critical services they needed. It was a call to action I couldn’t ignore. The solution became clear—The Layne Project, Inc. needed to transition its services into a nonprofit model to ensure no family was left without support. With no existing provider to step in, a small yet determined board came together, and The Layne Project 4 Families www.tlp4families.org was born. Starting a nonprofit was estimated to take nearly a year, but with a committed donation of assets valued at $30,000 from The Layne Project, Inc. and the incredible support of Sharice Davids’ office, The Layne Project 4 Families (4 Families) achieved something remarkable: receiving 501(c)(3) status in just 20 days! This rapid progress has empowered 4 Families to take its mission further, creating a pathway for true change and offering hope to families navigating separation.
