Alan Scahill’s Post

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I don't post that often. I mainly post a photo of a job I done recently. I have a question. l fabricate high quality wrought Iron gates. I have been doing this for over 20 years. I only use the best of materials. This officially makes the product more expensive. But looks professionally done. However, over the years there is a lot of businesses similar to my own, making the product cheaper by using lighter and Cheaper materials. To me it looks horrendous, but people seem to be going for the cheaper option. It is a very difficult thing to explain to customers why my product is so much more expensive than my competitors. My question is. Do I sacrifice 20 years of the business to fabricate a product, which since day one I said this is not what My business stands for. I would love your feedback on this. It would help me on where I need to go from here. Thanks for your time. Alan Scahill. Premier Wrought Iron Works.

Thank you Jacqueline. Really appreciate your feedback. Have a good day.

Hi Alan! I can understand your frustration with this, I would say to continue using the materials you’d recommend to clients but to also have a more budget friendly option for them too. 😊
