Polymer modification of self-leveling compounds with VINNAPAS® L and F grades has many benefits: improved mechanical and flow properties that yield very smooth, blemish-free surfaces, as well as reduced surface bleeding and segregation. For many of these properties of self-leveling compounds, there seems to be one general rule: the higher the polymer content, the better the performance. We conduct numerous tests at WACKER to demonstrate this. Click through the gallery below👇 to see the results! 👉 And if you want to see an animated visualization of the benefits of polymer modification, you might want to watch the video in this article: https://bit.ly/3P5UlrB #selfleveling #flooring #construction #vinnapas

Polymer modification of self-leveling compounds with VINNAPAS® L and F grades has many benefits: improved mechanical and flow properties that yield very smooth, blemish-free surfaces, as well as reduced surface bleeding and segregation. The properties of self-leveling compounds are typically improved at higher polymer content. We conduct numerous tests at WACKER to demonstrate this. How much load can a self-leveling compound bear before it cracks? It depends on the compound’s flexural and compressive strength. Both parameters can be significantly improved by adding VINNAPAS® polymer binders. My colleagues at the Technical Centers have a special test method to measure the flexural and compressive strength of a self-leveling compound: first, they conduct a 3-point bending test on a specimen until it breaks. The specimen is then tested for strength while being compressed until fracture occurs. 👉 If you want to watch the whole test, check out our new Insights article: https://bit.ly/4dEvrtA It shows all the tests used for self-leveling compounds – it’s really impressive to see how many tests WACKER conducts on this one application! #selfleveling #flooring #construction #vinnapas
