In 2024, Alberta Dreams was blessed to receive donations from some major corporations. 👏👏 Two Dreams Makers we would like to highlight are: ATCO EPIC: is a grassroots initiative involving employee-led committees that plan, implement, and administer workplace fundraising campaigns. The program combines fundraising events, auctions, team competitions, and employee and retiree pledges. ATCO EPIC’s charitable-giving campaign allows our employees to pledge to the charities that are important to them. ATCO matches employee and retiree donations that support community impact organizations that align to ATCO’s values and commitment to diversity and inclusion. and Shell Scotford's mission is to focus and invest meaningfully in a smaller number of national or regional non-profit organizations that are making significant positive impacts in communities across the country. By investing in this purposeful way over multiple years, it allows organizations to plan ahead, and for programs to thrive and reach successful outcomes. If you would like to become a Dream Marker for Alberta Dreams, please head over to our website to learn more. www.albertadrems.ca

Raymond James Cares month took place in May. Associates banded together to make a huge impact. So proud to work for a company that gives back in such an intentional way. Borrowed from an article: Annually in May, Raymond James associates and advisors around the world team up and give back to the communities where we live and work. In 2024, more than 3,300 volunteers came together to serve over 8,300 hours toward the causes most near and dear to us. Our collective impact* 3,371 volunteers 8,315 hours 269 charitable organizations 120 communities 88,650 meals served and packed 10,514 pounds of food donated 12,216 in-kind items donated $544,256 in monetary donations 898 pounds of trash cleaned up Our roots run deep in volunteerism, and giving back to our communities is a key facet of the firm’s culture. This value is demonstrated by associates year-round, and especially each May. With nearly 270 charitable organizations supported across 120 communities in 2024, our impact was seen far and wide. Here’s a deeper look at a few of the causes our associates supported, and the resulting effects. #raymondjamescares

Professional Advisor Recognition Society Spotlight: Frederick R. Franke Client-centric teamwork are not buzzwords to Frederick and his firm, Franke Beckett LLC. As the firm’s managing attorney, Frederick makes sure they deliver first-rate estate and trust services to their clients. For his estate planning clients, this means that their concerns are addressed and an estate plan constructed to meet those specific concerns. As part of the process, CFAAC is discussed as an important option to clients who want their philanthropy to support local nonprofits. The firm has been working with the Community Foundation since 1998. “Many of our clients include charitable bequests in their estate planning,” said Frederick. “By using CFAAC for donations, they can structure bequests that will benefit charities with annual gifts and provide a way to include their younger family members in the process. Such a legacy helps the charities and can promote philanthropy in future generations.” Read More about Frederick R. Franke: https://bit.ly/3TDQdBS

OVER $50 MILLION DOLLARS DISTRIBUTED TO CHARITIES! Ohio Lawyers Give Back was conceived and created by Patrick J. Perotti, Senior Partner of Dworken & Bernstein Co., L.P.A. in 2003 to facilitate the distribution of leftover class action funds to impactful nonprofits and charities that serve the community. Over the last two decades, OLGB has distributed more than $50 million to community organizations. In class action lawsuits, if there is to be a payment of damages to class members, a fund is created. After class members’ claims are paid, there is often an amount remaining (that is unclaimed). These funds can be distributed to a charitable organization through a process called Cy Pres. OLGB promotes distributing the leftover funds to charitable programs that benefit the class members in the community where they live. We are proud to have been able to distribute leftover funds and support over 300 non-profits and charities predominately in NE Ohio and as well as throughout the state…. serving Ohio and the people these organizations serve. If you volunteer at, serve on a board or know of a worthwhile charity, please go to https://lnkd.in/ebdejf2j and click on “suggest a charity”.

In observance of National Non-Profit Day in the U.S., let’s talk about Vaco Cares! What is it? ❤️ An employee-funded 501(c)(3) charitable organization that allows employees of Vaco Holdings and its collective of brands to directly and immediately impact members of Vaco Holdings' global community by providing financial relief in times of unexpected and dire need. When did it start? ❤️ In 2017, a series of tragedies hit near and dear to Vaco Holdings' employees. The organization rallied together to provide assistance during those trying times, and Vaco Cares was established to help thoughtfully prepare to assist those in need. How is it funded? ❤️ Employees throughout Vaco Holdings and its collective of brands elect to deduct a set amount per paycheck to donate to the cause.
