Hi friends, Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday! If you are looking to make some end of year donations to really impactful organizations, please consider a gift to In A Heartbeat. This past Wednesday, we lost a 13-year old student-athlete in CT to sudden cardiac arrest when he collapsed on the football field during practice. An unimaginable loss for his family, friends, teammates, and community. These deaths hurt because many of them are preventable. We focus on the primary and secondary prevention of sudden cardiac arrest by providing free EKGs to youth and donating AEDs to places in need. We are proud of the 400+ AEDs we have donated and 10,000+ FREE EKGs we have provided but it is time for our impact to multiply! In the Northeast alone there are over 2 million youth that need their hearts checked. We want to help them and have strategically formulated a growth plan. Of course, with growth, funding is needed. Our end of year goal is to raise $150,000 so we can make our impact even greater, so we can donate more AEDs and so we can provide more EKGs to youth. This is a lofty goal but we believe we can do it! If you want to help us save more lives so we don’t have devastation among families, friends, and communities after a loss to SCA, click the link or share this post! We would not be able to do it without your support. https://lnkd.in/eeY5RuGm

As you'd probably expect, Viridium's lovely clients are getting Christmas presents that are wonderfully ethical. This year, within their hampers (which may not actually be hampers - still need to work out the logistics...) we have also included a donation to Zarach. Zarach popped up on my feed a few weeks ago and their mission to provide bed kits for children really hit me. My daughter is now 8 and since she was a tiny baby we have tucked her up in bed every night and read her a story. It is consistently one of the nicest parts of my day. To think there are so many children living in this country that don't even have a decent bed to call their own is beyond heartbreaking and I knew immediately that this is where I wanted Viridium's Christmas donations to go. Donating to a charity that will use the money directly to buy beds for kids rather than the money going into the ether feels like we're doing something meaningful. At the moment, all donations are being matched by the fabulous folk at Aviva so every pound you can donate will be worth £2 to Zarach. If your company hasn't yet decided where to donate to this Christmas or, worse, are considering sending clients a load of plastic tat that will end up in landfill, please consider spending the money somewhere that it'll make lasting positive change. P.S. Donations seem to be matched up to £250, so do it in batches of £250 if you're planning on making a big donation. That way they should get double for every pound you spend 😊 (It's the Yorkshire blood in me!) #zarach #corporategifting #nobodywantsyourpens
This Christmas, we’d love you to help us to reach 1000 children living in bed poverty with somewhere to sleep, rest, and dream big dreams. Incredibly Crowdfunder UK with Aviva are matching every donation between £1 - £250 up to 100k. That’s a potential 667 beds 🤯 Give today to see your donation doubled https://lnkd.in/e4eDJ-z3

🌱 Why Green Schoolyards Matter: Cultivating Connection and Collaboration 🌱 Green schoolyards are more than just outdoor spaces – they are living classrooms and community hubs that foster deeper connections, collaboration, and resilience in young minds. The Power of Nature on Development Biophilic design – integrating natural elements into daily environments – taps into our innate connection to nature. For children, this connection is transformative: 🔹 Encourages Curiosity & Exploration – Natural spaces invite open-ended play, sparking creativity and independent thinking. 🔹 Promotes Collaboration – Green spaces encourage cooperative play, problem-solving, and teamwork, reinforcing social bonds and communication skills. 🔹 Builds Emotional Intelligence – Engaging with nature nurtures empathy, patience, and a sense of responsibility for living things. Strengthening Social Fabric 🌿 Inclusive & Accessible Spaces – Green schoolyards provide shared environments where children of all abilities and backgrounds interact, fostering a culture of inclusivity and mutual respect. 🌿 Community Engagement – These spaces often double as community gardens and gathering areas, strengthening relationships between families, educators, and neighbors. 🌿 Resilient Problem-Solvers – Hands-on experiences with nature teach adaptability and perseverance, essential skills for navigating an unpredictable world. Beyond the Classroom Green schoolyards inspire lifelong stewardship and collaboration. By investing in nature-rich environments, we cultivate stronger communities, deeper connections, and more resilient futures for everyone. 🌎 Let’s grow spaces where children don’t just learn – they connect, create, and thrive together. No one ever wants to have to use Hope's Harbor services. But if you have ever been a caretaker, you know it is not easy. You’re tired, you need a shower, you need a warm meal. You need to be clear headed so you can make important decisions. Hopes Harbor takes care of those who are taking care of a sick or injured child in the hospital-for days, sometimes weeks, sometimes even months. On Giving Tuesday, please consider giving a $10 donation. Because Hopes Harbor families are welcome regardless of their ability to pay. Donate or volunteer to make a meal: https://lnkd.in/egH-qSr6
Today is the day! It’s GivingTuesday, and we’re on a mission to rally 100 donors and raise $10,000 to support families with children in the hospital. At Hope’s Harbor, we provide housing, meals, and comfort for families during some of life’s most difficult moments—all at no cost to them. 💛 Your gift makes this possible. Donate now at hopesharborfw.org/donate. Every donation brings us closer to our goal of 100 donors in one day and ensures no family faces these challenges alone. Let’s come together and provide Strength Next Door for our families! 💕

⤵️ Good conversation + resources on fundraising lightboxes/pop-ups via Katelyn Baughan. I have one (or several dozen, really) to add in this Dropbox link: https://lnkd.in/gB6N884D Right after the election I grabbed a bunch of screenshots of lightboxes. It was a big fundraising moment and I was curious how it was being messaged. Today I pulled some more. A few from same groups. Many from new ones. Useful if you're looking for examples/ideas. Of course, some are better examples than others. 😬

Do you have a donation lightbox pop-up on your website this EOY? In a recent conference I learned that a nonprofit saw a SIGNIFICANT increase in donors when there was a donate lightbox on their homepage/website during a campaign. More than 50% of donors gave using the lightbox versus their regular donation form. Get those lightboxes up people!

Lightboxes should be a standard for any digital fundraising campaign by now. Do they interrupt the website experience? Yes. They're SUPPOSED TO. They work. Plain and simple. I've had clients 2-3x their campaign revenue when adding lightboxes.
