New outlets for popular discontent Parliamentary elections in the UK and France over the last few weeks have served as a reminder of the potentially disruptive power of populist voices. There were common features of the elections: both the French and the UK voting systems tend to act against anti-establishment power surges, both elections took place against the backdrop of voter dissatisfaction with the incumbent administrations, while in both cases, populist parties had a significant influence on the course of the elections. The impacts are significant, leading to increased polarization and violence that further undermine public trust and jeopardize our individual rights and freedoms. Something to remember, consider, and learn from. Watch this video. Why would California elected appoint a Chinese National to be a US Election Commissioner in San Francisco a few days ago ? In this video San Francisco’s newly appointed Kelly Wong will give her acceptance speech in Mandarin. The commentator after Wong’s speech will explain when, why, and how Wong was chosen for this important position as Election Commissioner, and what this 5 year appointment will affect. If we do not speak up as a united nation against decisions which will affect our United States even if it’s California or New York our elections will not be secure nor will our Republic be safe. Election integrity is an American virtue. If we don’t protect our elections we have ourselves to blame and are the generation of people responsible for giving our country away freely without a single shot fired.

Discrimnatory and hate speach persecuting person with disabilities needs to be addressed. Our rights are different in practice than other groups in many ways. Abelist systems of persecution and discrimination against people with disability are not held to account and implied lack of rights, or access to rights and freedoms for people with disability is culturally acceptable, justified and accepted. If the vulnerable are not protected, all people and their rights are subject to exploitation. In global society, free and fair elections have an impact on the rights and freedoms of all people everywhere. All democratic elections need international observers and monitoring to ensure democratic principals are honored and democratic processes respected, not exploited. Our commumities, nationally and globally, require trust and confidence in free and fair democracy and democratic process for better civil society for all people and the rights of all. Without human rights for all, global society fosters opportunity for exploitation of people and their inhernt rights.

In May, the Supreme Court made it easier for corrupt politicians to manipulate our elections. 🚨 In a shocking 6-3 decision, the court ruled that states can create racially gerrymandered maps as long as they claim it's for partisan purposes. This is a direct attack on voters of color and our democracy. We need to take action NOW. Join us in the fight to stop gerrymandering and demand fair elections! Only together, can make a difference. ✊ https://lnkd.in/erP9Y7qS #Gerrymandering #FairElections #PoliticalReform #Activism #PowerToThePeople #IndependentRedistricting #FightForDemocracy
