Have you read Ernest Hemingway's short novel 'The Old Man and the Sea'? Among Hemingway's later works, the most outstanding is this short novel from 1952. It is the story of an old fisherman’s journey, his long and lonely struggle with a fish and the sea, and his victory in defeat. Hemingway was awarded the 1954 literature prize "for his mastery of the art of narrative, most recently demonstrated in The Old Man and the Sea, and for the influence that he has exerted on contemporary style." #WorldOceansDay

One of my favorite books "The Old Man and The Sea". Till now I remember the feelings of being mesmerized by every page of this novel. I have read the novel in Russian and in English. And still trying to figure out why I love the Russian version more. Maybe because of those feelings when I read it 1st time. The only reasonable explanation that I can find for it. The book is about life, living the life.
