🌐 The Future of Innovation and Business Strategy: Networking and Collaboration At a recent conference with Sabrina Koch, she delved into a crucial topic: the transformative power of networking. Gone are the days of working in silos and guarding our knowledge fiercely. Today, we thrive in an interconnected world where collaboration is key to tackling future challenges. And I couldn't agree more! A perfect example of this is showcased in an excellent video by The B1M 🌿 The video highlights how Equinix is turning a potential issue—the heat generated by data centers—into an innovative solution for the 2024 Paris Olympics. They are using this heat to climatize a nearby aquatics center and grow vegetables on the roof. What's striking is that this solution doesn't rely on new technology or massive investments in uncertain tech. Instead, it's a testament to the power of identifying and redefining problems. True innovation often stems from smart, sustainable strategies that leverage existing resources creatively. This example underscores that by joining forces and embracing a mindset of collaboration, we can unlock remarkable solutions that benefit businesses and communities alike. Let's continue to break down barriers and work together towards a more innovative and sustainable future! 💡🤝 #Innovation #Collaboration #Sustainability

Proud of the BCO Network event yesterday at the European Week of Regions and Cities. Ashya Lane-Spollen animated an interesting discussion on bridging the digital divide by supporting digital infrastructure for smart and sustainable regions, with great panelists, Pirita Lindholm, Director at ERRIN, Markku Markkula, VP CoR, Catherine Wendt, Head of Unit at DG REGIO and Marie Clotteau, from Grand Est region France. All speakers and participants from the audience insisted on the importance of digital connectivity for the competitiveness of European regions, especially for rural areas. It was evident from the discussion that infrastructure is not the only essential requirement: a lack of digital skills is still holding some regions back. The discussion also highlighted the importance of added value services, and the need for adaptive and replicable use cases to be developed to trigger the take up of connectivity and accelerate both rural development and regional growth. Join us next week, on 18 October, as we discuss specifically how 5G use cases can be replicated and scaled. We will explore lessons learned from the first wave of CEF-funded ‘smart community’ projects.

🌟 Reflecting on Breakthroughs: Highlights from the meeting of #3P4SSE in Turin 🌟 📅 On March 26th and 27th, 2024, Turin (Italy) hosted the partners of #3P4SSE, a project financed by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme. 🤝 Kindly welcomed by the LINKS Foundation, partner in the #3P4SSE project, the event unfolded with the inaugural day dominated by the vibrant discussions of the Steering Group Meeting. 💼 The proceedings kicked off with financial updates from Provincia Autonoma di Trento, spearheading #3P4SSE, followed by a comprehensive overview of communication endeavors by PAT and ALDA+. Discussions then delved into the project's first Work Package, sparking a vigorous debate on International Strategy, skillfully illuminated by Gianluca Salvatori of Euricse . Attention later shifted to exploration of remaining work packages, WP2 and WP3, with diverse partners sharing insights. 🌍 Transitioning into the second day, the event transformed into a Policy Conference at the prestigious Collegio Carlo Alberto. 🎙️ The conference unfolded in two sessions: the first dissecting Social Clusters and Regional Development, and the second delving into the realms of New Normative Frameworks in Social Economy. “At the beginning, we were focusing on getting the result quickly. We received pressure from the media and inside the government, approaching our collaboration with MIT as if they were a service provider… If I could go back ten years, I would define the objectives and avoid fixating on early results.” This quote from the previous government official of Andorra reflecting the decade-long collaboration resonates deeply with me. It reminds me of the three-year build-up of Taipei Urban Intelligence Center. It took us years just to figure out the effective working model, the right questions to ask, align objectives with key city officials, and accumulate enough trust among agencies to keep momentum going. Unfortunately, TUIC’s operations ended due to shifts in the political landscape. Technology is never the key—people are. And only when you can secure a long-term commitment with the right people involved, transformation becomes possible. I personally look forward to work with whichever government organizations with the same mindset to make actual impact together. Cheers to those who truly want to make a difference for their cities! 🌐 This week, Svenska Stadsnätsföreningen (the Swedish Local Fibre Alliance) held its annual suppliers’ meeting, where we, along with other stakeholders, gained valuable insights into the association’s current activities and future challenges. 🎙️ One of the highlights of the day was a panel discussion on the future of the association now that fiber networks will soon be accessible to all Swedish households. What will happen once this goal is achieved? 💡 The panel emphasized that accessibility also means ensuring reliability and robustness—qualities that are becoming increasingly important. The panelists agreed that achieving this will require cooperation; no single party can accomplish it alone. Collaboration will be crucial now and in the future. 🚀 At Triangelbolaget, we see this as an opportunity to deliver real value. By connecting city networks with regional networks, we can provide a high level of safety and reliability. Many city networks are already connected to our nodes, and by utilizing our fiber connections, they can ensure the necessary resilience in their networks. 🔗 We look forward to following this development and continuing to contribute to an even more robust digital infrastructure in Sweden! 📞 To learn more about connecting to our fiber networks in Scandinavia, please contact Mats Rönnlund at +46 (0)70-618 85 55. #DigitalInfrastructure #FiberNetworks #Sweden #Connectivity #Innovation #Collaboration #TechFuture
