Relationship and Intimacy Coach for smart, successful couples wanting more emotional and sensual intimacy ✱ keynote speaker ✱ workshop facilitator ✱ author "Uncompromising Intimacy" ✱ "The Intimate Marriage Podcast"

Earlier this month our third child graduated from high school. This graduation meant far more than meets the eye. You see, I homeschooled Gabriel from preschool through 9th grade. When we moved to California 11 years ago, there were many opportunities for homeschoolers to take classes with other teachers (and students) and the older he got the more we took advantage of those opportunities. Gabriel did well as a homeschooler. He did lab sciences with scientists who left labs to become homeschoolers themselves. He sang with an award-winning international children’s choir and performed in Estonia, Denmark, Germany, and England, all the while having the majority of his education at our dining room table. When the pandemic hit, Gabriel became extremely lonely. He was a 9th grader craving interactions with more than just his family. So, he enrolled in our local public high school for 10th grade, and, despite my worries for him socially (we all know kids can be mean), the transition was shockingly straightforward. At the time of his graduation three years later, he has a large group of wonderful friends, a lovely girlfriend, and lots of meaningful socializing. At graduation he won the “Overall Excellence” Award, a huge honor based on overall academic achievement, leadership, involvement in extracurriculars, contribution to others, being innovative and reliable. It was surprising to me because it spoke to the impact he had in a short amount of time. After the ceremony I asked Gabriel what he would have told his younger self on that first day of 10th grade. His answer: “You get out what you put in, so put in a lot.” No further elaboration. That’s the key to his success. It’s also the key to your success, as I'm sure you already know, especially when it comes to you career. But what about your marriage? Are you experiencing what you want to be experiencing? If not, I invite you to consider how much you’re putting in. Because my son is right, how much you put in will determine what you get out. If you want guidance in improving the quality of what you put in, I invite you to consider the Aligned & Hot Marriage program, or private coaching.
