F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix represents a mix between maximum downforce for sector 1 & 3 and minimal drag for sector 3 straight line, the longest full throttle on the F1 calendar. What will be the sweet spot? The F1 teams will simulate lots of possible setups. Will corelate that data with the track data during the free practice sessions and will find the best compromise for the fastest lap. Taking into considerarion the circuit characteristics the question is what team will perform the best? Again data tells us that this circuit should suit Ferrari, a combination between Monaco and Monza and who won these 2 races? Sometimes I am being asked what we do once we improve a process, do we stop? Let me tell you what is happening in F1, the pinnacle of motorsports. During 2023 they improved the car and now they made an evolution of 23 car for 24. When arriving at the same track in Bahrain it can be easily seen by comparing lap time data that every team improved, some better than others. Last year poleposition time it would be 8th position this year. So much competitvness, excellence, always improving. Like they say, in F1 if you don’t improve you start going backwards! The white telemetry line shows Lap 57 and green shows lap 56 for Alonso who drives for Aston Martin F1 Team Let's talk about the recent incident at the Australian Grand Prix. During lap 57, Alonso's driving raised some questions when he braked early, pushed the throttle, then braked again, shifting gears early and causing George to crash. As a result, Alonso received a 20-second penalty for braked tested. In my views that is an injustice to Alonso, he has the right to change his racing line and style whenever he wants.
