The big international cloud vendors are setting up more and more data centers in Southeast Asia. While this is financially beneficial for companies in the region, the energy consumption in the region will most likely increase exponentially. Consequently, I will be more active in my research area toward Sustainable Computing at NIDA

Exciting developments are underway! The Uptime Institute recently surveyed almost 400 operators about their plans for deploying Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC). Just two years ago, only 30-40% were considering it. Now, over 60% are considering to implement DLC in the near future.
