Have you ever watched CAD professionals go head-to-head in a race to complete a given task within a 0,9 gram tolerance faster than the other? Recently, I stumbled upon a YouTube tournament series where CAD experts battle it out, and let me tell you, it's as exciting as watching Aleksib win Finland's first Counter-Strike Major last Sunday. (Okay maybe a stretch, but almost as exciting) In a recent match featuring both experts using SOLIDWORKS, the other's slight slip-up caused panic after realizing that they modeled the entire part using the wrong units. Despite the task being set in inches, they accidentally modeled in millimeters, which just goes to show that even the best make mistakes when under pressure. Despite the inevitability of human errors, as a SOLIDWORKS user, you have access to resources such as 3DSwym communities and MySolidWorks databases, which help you avoid preventable mistakes. For instance, within the SolidPractices community, you can tap into a wealth of knowledge about best practices, enabling you to master the meta, just like the pros in the CAD vs. CAD showdown. Whether you're a CAD wizard or a newcomer, the journey of mastering CAD is continuous. When feeling ready, you can validate your skills or gain bragging rights with certification exams.
