🌍 It was a pleasure to participate in the roundtable organized by Schneider Electric on World Environmental Day and share the challenges and opportunities of SOLARPACK in supply chain decarbonization. 🌿 Through our activities, we avoid three times the emissions we generate. Still, we are firmly committed to decarbonization, with a clear mandate from our main shareholder, EQT Group, who encouraged our adherence to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). ⚡ Decarbonizing the supply chain is a significant challenge for our company because it accounts for more than 99% of our greenhouse gas emissions. It is one of the main drivers of our decarbonization roadmap. As we shared at the roundtable, to further improve Scope 3 calculations and move towards decarbonization of the value chain, #SOLARPACK is currently addressing different challenges: 📊 Improvement of Emission Measurement Increasing awareness and collaboration with suppliers to improve the collection of relevant emissions data. Transitioning from an expenditure-based calculation methodology to hybrid and primary data collection. 🔍 Review of a Comprehensive Sustainable Procurement and Supplier Management Framework Embedding ESG criteria, including the emissions management features of our current and potential suppliers. ⚖️ Continuous Assessment of Risks and Opportunities Focusing on internal and external awareness, education and regulatory compliance. 📈 Verification and Ambitious Goals Our carbon footprint has been verified by an independent third party for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023. We will update our SBTi goals, making them more ambitious to meet the global challenges of decarbonization. Thanks Schneider Electric for inviting us. I've just read about the Australia-Singapore Low-Emissions Technology (ASLET) initiative. The focus on low-emission fuels like clean hydrogen and ammonia is particularly promising. What caught my attention: - The initiative supports both technological advancement and infrastructure development at ports. - The differentiated funding approach for SMEs vs. larger companies encourages broader participation. - The alignment with national and IMO global emissions reduction targets.
