You can learn as you earn. This is a follow up to yesterday's post to all fresh graduates about looking for a job. https://lnkd.in/e5TY6-Gi Another important point I want to add on is, even if you have to just find any job in the meantime to pay off the loans or simply to survive, Learn as much as you can while on the job. Many of you know that my first job was a Management trainee in a cinema. I graduated during the Asian Financial Crisis back in 1997, and I wasn't too sure what kind of job I wanted to do. The cinema job was a means to an end to help allowed me to pay off my University loan as well as support the family. That job provided me the opportunity to manage people, run a location with profit and loss responsibility, managing customers, marketing efforts to promote the location and problem solving skills (handling a break down during blockbuster, handling customers abusing my staff etc). In fact, it wasn't even my job with P&G after the cinema experience that got me a job with LVMH! So never underestimate a 'job' is just a 'job'. Always grab the opportunity to learn as you earn! If your company is going to hire fresh graduates, consider a mentoring program as part of the staff development plan to help them settle quickly and well into their new role.
