💥Stop Wasting Your Energy on What Doesn’t Matter💥 *“The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Damn”* is more than a book—it’s a wake-up call. In a world obsessed with doing it all, *caring less* is a superpower. Here’s what it taught me: 1️⃣ Clarity is Power: You can’t care about everything. Focus on what truly moves the needle. 2️⃣ Own Your Choices: Stop blaming, stop waiting—your life is 100% your responsibility. 3️⃣ Redefine Success:Don’t chase what society celebrates. Pursue what gives *your* life meaning. Caring about everything = burnout. Caring about *the right things* = fulfillment. So, here’s my challenge to you: 👉 What’s one thing you’ll stop giving unnecessary energy to today? Drop it in the comments and take back your power. #Leadership #Focus #MindsetShift #DoWhatMatters

Perception Shift! When we expect dishonesty or negativity, we're more likely to find it, EVEN WHERE IT MAY NOT EXIST. This is how powerful our mind is! This phenomenon, known as confirmation bias, can lead to inaccurate judgments. Confirmation bias refers to the tendency of individuals to seek out, interpret, and remember information in a way that confirms what their preexisting beliefs or hypotheses dictate. This bias can affect various aspects of decision-making, perception, and reasoning. "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see." - Henry David Thoreau. So, rather than assuming the worst, let's challenge ourselves to seek out the best in others. Embracing a mindset of trust and optimism not only fosters healthier relationships but also cultivates a more conducive environment for growth. Let's choose to see the potential for greatness in those around us and watch as it becomes reflected back to us. 🔎 Stay Tuned for Daily Tips: Join me every day as we delve into more tools and tips to propel us forward. Death, taxes and change are the only certainties in life Oh! and sunburn for me! 😂 A friend in sales shared that on most of the meetings she goes on at the moment, leaders are commenting on the rapid change that is happening and how to navigate it. My take would be: - breathe - we all make better decision with more oxygen in the brain - slow down to go faster - what is the first question you ask yourself when presented with something new? Is it 'how does this affect me?' (negative) or 'what opportunity is there in this for me?' (positive) - mission and values should be unchangeable, what's changing is structure, systems or the team/people around you - this means change to the structure, system or team is an EXPERIMENT designed to improve the business. As Steven Bartlett has proven, test often and be prepared to fail fast/assess the impact quickly, then decide to keep it or reiterate - not all change is in our control though and for this Victor Franke nailed it 'you'll never be free from change, but you are free to choose your response' (I'm paraphrasing) What do you remind yourself of when change is happening around you? #change #navigatingchange #progress #growthmindset #victorfrankl #duckoreagle #coaching #selfdevelopment

"So frustrated, but not sure why." Frustration is one of the most human experiences, yet it’s one of the least accepted. In business and leadership, we’re taught to mask it, to smooth it over, to stay “professional.” But what if suppressing frustration is what stops us from understanding it? Frustrations aren’t just emotions to be ignored—they’re signals. They highlight friction, disconnection, and unmet needs. But here’s the thing: frustration itself isn’t the problem. The real challenge is that we’ve been conditioned to avoid it entirely, fearing it will make us look unkind, irrational, or even weak. What if we had a space to address frustration without shame or judgment? Not to vent aimlessly, but to uncover the root causes. That’s what TellTOM.ink is for—a place where frustrations, big or small, can be shared freely and anonymously. It’s a way to say: This is what’s not working. Let’s understand it together. Because when we dive into the causes of frustration, we unlock something powerful: clarity. Clarity about what needs to change—whether it’s within systems, relationships, or even ourselves. Frustration doesn’t have to be loud or divisive. It can be insightful, transformative, and deeply constructive. It just needs a space to exist. What’s been frustrating you lately? Let’s explore it, without judgment, without masks. 🐙 Perry "Dr. Octopus" Knoppert #TellTOM #Leadership #FrustrationsMatter #NonlinearThinking #theOctopusMovement ♻️ TellTOM.ink: Is brought to you by The Octopus Movement, where nonlinear minds unite to solve the unsolvable. If your calendar is so full that you don’t have time to think, breathe, move, or eat…that’s not the flex of success….it's a prison. Your calendar isn’t a To-Do list for everyone else - it’s a reflection of your soul. Which makes taking control of your calendar an act of rebellion. The system doesn’t want you to do that. It doesn’t want you to pause. It wants you exhausted and on the clock. It wants you chained to the grind. It wants you hustling, chasing, producing. But you’re smarter than that. When you start taking control of your time & energy, people will resist. They’ll call you disruptive. And that’s exactly what you should be - disruptive to the status quo that profits off your exhaustion. Reclaim your calendar, reclaim your power! I had a blast earlier this month, chatting to my friends at The Social about the power of the pause. "Measure twice, cut once" - a timeless mantra that transcends the realms of business and life. It's a reminder to pause, reflect, and ensure our decisions align with our goals and values. In a world that often values speed over precision, this sage advice urges us to slow down, to deliberate, and to act with intention. Every decision we make carries weight - whether in the boardroom or at the crossroads of life. Taking that extra moment to assess, to analyze, can make all the difference between success and setback, between fulfillment and regret. So let's embrace this ethos of thoughtful consideration. Let's challenge ourselves to delve deeper, to explore alternatives, to envision the ripple effects of our choices. Because in the end, it's not about how fast we move, but how purposefully we act. #ReflectiveThinking #IntentionalDecisions #MindfulLeadership #LifeLessons #BusinessWisdom #PauseAndReflect #StrategicPlanning #LeadershipDevelopment #DecisionMaking #Motivation #SelfReflection #Empowerment #SuccessMindset #GrowthMindset #PersonalDevelopment #LifeSkills #Wisdom #Inspiration #LeadershipQuotes #MotivationalQuotes #LinkedInReflections #FoodForThought #TakeYourTime #LeadershipLessons VC: Copyright to the respective video owner

Overthinking is the dwelling on and, often returning to thinking about the same thing. It is also a playing of “what ifs” that are focused on negative consequences and rarely about the positive potential of a situation or stimuli. Overthinkers will also devote undue amounts of time thinking about small and inconsequential issues and do not differentiate between a big thing and a little thing. To them all issues are worthy of the same degree of thought and analysis. #leadership #quotes #success #overthinking #rise Excerpt from RISE! - Creating Unlimited Happiness and Success by Overcoming Our Barriers.
