Thursday Thoughts Have you noticed how when things get busy or horses have one of those days how easy it is for our thought patterns to get led astray, perhaps in a direction we didn't intend? What to do in those moments when our horses and our blood pressure might prefer us to be serene? Press pause, imagine a half halt but for our thoughts, so we are not blocking or resisting we are rebalancing our mind noticing and giving ourselves the space to breathe and regroup. We always have choices to make big and small, it's easier when we can find calm in the moment. https://lnkd.in/eQ2FyQwZ

Client Transformation Highlight: A Journey of Functional Movement When he first came to us, he faced: 1. Droopy shoulders that impacted posture and stability. 2. An awkward walking gait—a flapping left foot, “lazy” movement pattern, over-reliance on his right foot, and a noticeable stomping motion. 3. A higher right rotation affecting balance and symmetry. Over the course of two years, we focused on: 1. Engaging the hip complex to support a smoother and more stable gait. 2. Improving foot strike mechanics for better mobility and efficiency. 3. Redistributing weight evenly across both legs for balance and strength. This wasn’t about quick fixes or flashy techniques. It was about building strength and honing functional movement patterns—the fundamentals that truly matter. The result? A significant improvement in his posture, walking, and now, even his running gait. Stay tuned for the transformation in action! OMNI Strength and Performance #ClientSuccess #MovementMatters

Here are 5️⃣ great walking tips from AARP that are worth sharing! I'd like to add my own quick tip: the bent arm mentioned in the article is ideal for brisk walking. For a regular or leisurely pace, it’s better to keep your elbows straight and allow your arms to swing from your shoulders. This helps promote the natural counter-rotation between your shoulders and pelvis, which is essential for proper walking mechanics. Be mindful not to let bending and straightening your elbows replace the correct arm swing from your shoulders. Monday Motivation "... The horse is here to enable you to learn how to be a better you." When we are training it's important to think about what your horse needs. Ask yourself how you can give your horse the consistency they are looking for. Before you ride, check in with how you are feeling and the energy you are going to bring to your horse. Notice how your horse is feeling and work with them to build a partnership based on patience, kindness and empathy. 🚀 Master the Perfect Push-Up! 🚀 Hey Nxtep Family! Today, we're diving into the details of executing the perfect push-up. 💪 🔹 Hand Position: Start by placing your hands on the ground, ensuring they're aligned with your mid-chest. Avoid flaring your elbows out to the side. Instead, think about "corkscrewing" your hands into the ground or pushing them together. This helps engage your pecs and triceps effectively, just like holding a barbell. 🔹 Body Alignment: Tuck your toes under and lift your thighs off the floor. Engage your glutes and core to maintain a strong, straight line from head to heels. 🔹 Knee Variation: If you're working on building up to a full push-up, no worries! You can perform this on your knees while following the same principles. 🔹 Feel the Difference: Try pushing your hands out to the side and notice where you feel it in your body. Spoiler: it's not the pecs! 😉 Comment below when you know where you feel it! Let's perfect those push-ups together! 💥 Share this post to help others master their form too. 🙌 #NxtepPersonalTraining #PushUpChallenge #FitnessTips #FormMatters #Knutsford
