People diagnosed with and at high risk for #LungCancer face unique challenges linked to stigma. Research shows that the majority of lung cancer patients experience stigma, leading to increased psychosocial distress, self-blame, and isolation. This stigma extends to family members and caregivers, creating barriers to effective risk reduction and early detection. It impacts every phase of the lung cancer continuum. Reducing lung cancer stigma requires collective effort. The American Cancer Society NLCRT created the Lung Cancer Stigma-- Communications Assessment Tool (LCS-CAT) to help organizations evaluate and modify the language, imagery, and contexts used to engage the lung cancer community to promote empathy and optimism. Together, we can eliminate stigma and its adverse effects. Explore the LCS-CAT today to help create change: https://bit.ly/48uIM5V #LCAM #LungCancerAwarenessMonth

Did you know that second only to breast cancer, lung cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in the US today? This Lung Cancer Awareness Month, let us come together to honor those bravely battling this disease and remember those we've lost. Every story is significant, and every voice matters. Our commitment to education, support, and advocacy can help make a difference in lives. Together, we can raise awareness and foster hope for a future where fewer lives are affected. You are not alone in this journey. One way cancers such as lung cancer are discovered early can be from an incidental finding on a radiology scan. Radiologists are trained to look for cancer even if it's not suspected. Unfortunately, sometimes potential cancer is overlooked, leaving the cancer undiscovered and left to grow and spread unchecked. Our office has seen many cases like this, and our attorneys have held healthcare providers to account and provided our clients and their families compensation. If you or a loved one suspect that cancer should have been diagnosed earlier, please reach out for a free consultation. #lungcancerawarenessmonth #attorneyswhocare #protectingpatientsandtheirfamilies #chicagolawyer #medicalmalpractice #personalinjuryattorney #cancerlawyer
