A topic that I keep hearing from clients is how to increase learning adoption and get employees more engaged in training and development opportunities. You can offer all the training opportunities in the world, but if employees don’t see the "what’s in it for me" or if the environment isn’t right—with too much focus on execution—then they won’t take advantage of what’s out there. It’s not always a matter of pulling just one lever—there’s often a combination of factors at play. That’s what building a learning culture is really about. At first, it can sound a bit abstract or conceptual, but in this upcoming webinar, I’ll break down the different elements of a learning culture—things like building the right infrastructure, measuring clear outcomes, fostering an environment that encourages risk-taking and learning from failure, and developing learning agility to meet employees where they are. And yes, you get a SHRM credit at the end 😉. #LearningCulture #LearningandDevelopment #EmployeeEngagement #WorkplaceLearning

At The Navigator Company, future leaders already have a voice today. The Future Leaders Forum (FLF) is one of the differentiating initiatives that make the Company attractive to those starting their professional careers. The program brings together young professionals under the age of 33, with more than a year in Navigator, and asks them to work together to find solutions to challenges the Company faces. Valuing young talent and stimulating opportunities for professional growth, where there is close interaction with top management, are the objectives of the program, which has just completed another cycle. In the latest edition of the FLF, a Board of eight young professionals, supported by an equal number of mentors, worked for six months, with the Executive Committee, to find strategies to increase the availability of wood in the domestic market. This involvement resulted in a set of initiatives that are already being implemented. In each cycle of the FLF, a diverse board of eight members is elected through a pitch process that attracts young executives from various backgrounds. Under the motto "The voices and ideas that shape the future", the Future Leaders Forum paves the way for a more participatory management approach based on the interaction between generations. Through their answers and solutions, the young members of the Board effectively participate in defining and developing the Company’s strategic agenda.
