Allay Therapeutics was pleased to join this year’s American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX! Allay’s CMO David Hewitt and Investigators attended AAHKS to share a poster presentation from our recently completed Phase 2B Part A study entitled “ATX101 provides sustained pain relief in TKA patients: results of a multicenter double-blind RCT." This study demonstrated compelling results on patient’s pain, opioid usage and function after TKA surgeries. These data supported the opening of our IND in the US and our dose selection for our upcoming Phase 2B Part B study. Our team enjoyed connecting with leading experts in hip and knee surgery as we continue to transform post-surgical pain management and recuperation. Thank you to AAHKS for hosting this important event. #AAHKS #AAHKS24 #Biotech #Orthopedics

Insight Surgery recently collaborated with a surgeon on a challenging case involving a Grade 1 chondrosarcoma of the right iliac wing. To ensure precise excision of the tumor, 4mm margins and a biplanar osteotomy were carefully planned with the surgeon. Our team designed two custom surgical guides, tailored to fit the k-wires, drill bits, and cutting blades readily available in the operating theatre. Additionally, a non-sterilizable anatomical model was provided to assist with presurgical planning and to enhance patient communication, allowing for a clearer understanding of the upcoming procedure. This case underscores our commitment to providing bespoke surgical solutions that best equip surgeons to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients. #Orthopedics #Surgery #sarcoma #Innovation #Medical3DPrinting #PatientCare #cancer #orthopedicsurgery #digitalplanning #oncology #orthopediconcology

The August issue is now online! On the Cover: Mouse Models in Transplantation: A SWOT Analysis. Mouse models are simultaneously lauded and disparaged for their ability to yield fundamental biological insights that accurately translate into an understanding of human disease. Cravedi et al. critically examine use role in transplant research and present solutions to maximize their informativeness. Also, we proudly announce a series of manuscripts planned for 2025, each focused on a specific organ, that will delve into the details of improving standardization, enhancing reproducibility, and optimizing translatability, essentially codifying the state-of-the-art of mouse models in transplant research.
