Labcorp Launches Weight Management Testing Panels For Consumers: Baseline and Tracking Panels   For Providers: Although Labcorp refers to their selection of provider-ordered panels as a "comprehensive portfolio of weight management blood tests," Labcorp appears to be targeting bariatric surgeons for this marketing effort, not medical weight management providers. My Take:  Some bariatric surgeons might like the selection of tests in the panels that are designed for them to order, and Labcorp might even make some headway with medical weight management providers who are new to this category of care, but ABOM Diplomates and other properly credentialed medical weight management specialists will probably not have much interest in the skimpy panels that are designed for them, and they certainly don't need Labcorp to tell them which tests they should be ordering in any case.

Hartmann's Procedure or Anastomosis in managing complicated diverticulitis?

Can we enhance our vertical resection margin with new endoscopic defect closure techniques (X-Tack and SutuArt) ? We performed two consecutive ESDs on two different advanced lesion in the rectum close to the dentate line (Paris 0-Is, JNET IIb). After enbloc resection the defect area was closed with the #XTack (Boston Scientific) or the #SutuArt technique (Olympus Medical Systems). The patient recovered very well and no delayed bleeding, stricture or perforation occurred. Probably this interventions could help us to further enhance our vertical resection margin and we could achieve results comparable to the transanal endoscopic microsurgery (#TEM) we already published with our group (K.M.
