AllConfsBot’s Post

AllConfsBot: How a Telegram Bot is Changing the Game in Event Search and Organization 🚀 In this post, the creator of AllConfsBot will share how the idea for the bot was born, how events are added, what organizers and users get, and future plans. 1. How did the idea for AllConfsBot come about? 🤔 The idea came from personal experience. I often attended live events and noticed how important face-to-face meetings are for any B2B sphere. In web3 communication, we actively use Telegram, and it became clear that it’s a convenient communication channel. However, events were scattered across different sources and databases. I realized it would be great to gather them all in one place. Moreover, I faced challenges with schedule planning: there was no convenient tool for adding events to the calendar. I needed a place where I could quickly find upcoming events and add them to my calendar. That’s how the idea of creating a Telegram bot for personal use came about. This was in 2022. 2. How are events added to the bot? 📅 First, we add major events that cannot be missed. We also include niche events and club meetings — from well-known to more private ones. We carefully verify all events and only add those our team would personally attend. This bot was created for ourselves, and of course, not all events make it into the database. But the most important and interesting ones are definitely here. 3. What do events gain from being listed in the bot? 💡 When an event is added to the database, it becomes accessible to all bot users. Active users receive notifications about events that match their interests and location. If discounts or unique conditions are provided for bot users, we send additional notifications with this information. Events can also attract business clients since the bot has a sponsorship application feature. We collect applications and pass them on to organizers. 4. What challenges arose while creating the bot? 🛠️ One of the main challenges was Telegram’s technical limitations, especially regarding notifications. The notification system requires stable performance, and we had to put in significant effort to avoid bugs and delays. Additionally, one of the ideas was to create a feature allowing group and channel owners on Telegram to add the bot and customize it for their audience. This feature now works perfectly and helps users tailor the bot to their needs. Currently, everything works very quickly: information about events, sponsorship applications, and routes to events are delivered to users in one click. 5. What are the plans for the bot’s development? 🚀 We plan to add registration and verification functionality, as well as the ability to sell tickets directly through the platform. This will create new opportunities for organizers: they will be able to track registration and event attendance.
