Tapi Carpet acquires Carpetright. You might flick past this thinking it was a foregone conclusion given CR's demise from it's peak market dominance in the mid naughties. This is a prime example how a chellenger can achieve what some would have considered the unachievable when they launched... topple the incumbent. Fair play Tapi! Tapi acquires Carpetright Tapi has rescued the Carpetright brand, IP and 54 stores following the administration of Carpetright Limited. This will save the jobs of over 300 people, whilst enabling Tapi to expand into a number of areas we don’t currently serve. We are desperately sad not to have been able to save more of the business and customer orders. However, as we looked into the details of the situation, we quickly established that saving the entire business was unviable. Carpetright has been materially loss making for a number of years, and it has significant debt held by the owner. We believe that we were the only offer that the administrator received that saved a large number of roles. We were also mindful of how the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) may view a larger deal. We understand that this news can be unsettling for Carpetright customers so we have prepared FAQs. Please note Tapi stores and customers are not affected in any way by this announcement. To support those employees facing redundancy as a result of the administration process, in the 48 hours before the administration happened, Tapi has funded a service through Clarity Recruiting that will offer FREE employment workshops covering CV preparation, interview skills and job search strategies. We have also contacted as many retailers as possible to help introduce affected Carpetright staff to new roles. We’ve asked these retailers to prioritise their application, helping them return to work as quickly as possible. Details have been shared directly with those affected via a dedicated website. Jeevan Karir, Managing Director of Tapi Carpets & Floors Limited said; “Our goal, initially, was to try to save all of Carpetright. However, as we looked into the details of the situation, we quickly established that saving the entire business was unviable. The business has been materially loss making for a number of years and it has significant debt held by the owner. We then turned ourselves to trying to save a number of stores whilst being mindful of how the Competition authorities would look at any deal. So, we arrived at 54 stores and 2 supporting warehouses. In a world where people are spoiled for choice and let’s be fair there is no one size fits all. I have to remind myself that COMPARING others to how I work doesn’t help prospective customers the company I work for and me For instance I loved the customer service I received at Lorna Jane in Onehunga every other shop I went to I was ignored and no one truly understood their fabric I was specific in what I was looking for and who I was looking for in fact one shop left me on the floor waiting for her for a good 10-15mins without coming back 💔 So what am I saying I don’t like trying to come up with a catch phrase of WHAT SETS ME APART FROM OTHER AGENCIES because let’s be fair I have nothing but me I’ll get some things right and I’ll get others wrong and let’s be honest anything that I say people have already heard it before and I’ve been told that heaps 🥴 SO PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS please don’t ask it wastes your time and ours I see other agencies doing the do and doing great in what they do for their customers What customers have to understand is that being open to using another agency won’t tarnish your relationship with your current suppliers because maybe another agency would be better used for a specific project We all have strengths and weaknesses So let’s stop comparing and start building sustainable relationships So stop trying to stay RELEVANT stay UNIQUE #RelationshipManager #Canstaff #Unique #Twenty20Five #ThriveInTwenty5 #Relevant

I hired him on-spot with 15 LPA package and later when I asked him what he was doing during the last 300 years he said he was one of the deciples of Christ and helped solve problems such as wine shortage, how to break one bread in 30 pieces and other logistical masterpieces. Never judge a candidate by the gap in their resume or (by the gap logo) on their T shirt.
