Attendees will learn from case studies and pilot projects across Europe, gaining insights into the benefits and challenges of XR technologies in enhancing learning outcomes. Thrilled to share a key milestone! 📚✨ In my recent bachelor thesis, "The integration of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) in education: potentials, challenges, and future perspectives for learning at universities," I explored how these game-changing technologies can reshape university learning. The results? VR and AR can make complex concepts come alive, boost engagement, and enhance learning outcomes. But it's not all smooth sailing—technical barriers, high costs, and privacy concerns still need attention. What does this mean for the future? The learning of the future - can XR technology strengthen Sweden's industries and education sector? Sweden needs a stronger digitalization strategy and learning will be the secret weapon/superpower to execute on such strategy. Today, Ewa Hansson, Global head of Learning & Development, certification together with representative from Saab, Teknikföretagen and Meta talked about how the technology shift will transform our work organizations and how learning will be the enabler to secure innovation, more patterns and Swedish competitiveness in the area of Advanced Digitalization. Learning needs to be faster than the business transformation. Extended Reality will play a major role in democratize learning and make learning accessible globally, give opportunities for people to meet cross borders and in new environments. XR will develop people´s skills through immersive and authentic scenarios. One use case highlighted during the panel , was the co-developed XR demo by Ericsson and Saab. The importance of changed air space regulations to use drones to secure lives. One example of how technology can shape a better future moving Sweden from good to great.
