💡The Power💪🏿of Quality: How #Teacher Excellence Drives Academic Achievement. Teacher👩🏾🏫l quality is a main factor in determining the academic success of pupils👩🏾🎓. In Nigerian🇳🇬 #public #primary #schools🏫, the #qualifications, and #experience of teachers significantly impact student performance. ⭕️Importance of Teacher Quality Numerous studies have shown that high-quality teachers are critical to pupils' achievement. Teachers with higher qualifications, more experience, and effective teaching methods contribute to better #student outcomes. In Nigeria schools with certified teachers report a 1️⃣5️⃣% improvement in student #test scores compared to those with less qualified staff. 🔺The educational background of teachers plays a significant role in their effectiveness. Teachers with advanced degrees and specialized training are better equipped to deliver quality education. A report by the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI ) found that students taught by teachers with a #bachelor's #degree in education performed 2️⃣0️⃣% better than those taught by teachers with only secondary education. 🔸Experienced teachers tend to have better classroom management skills and more effective teaching strategies. According to a study by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (#NERDC), students of teachers with over five years of teaching experience scored 1️⃣8️⃣% higher on standardised tests than those with less experienced teachers. 🔹Continuous professional development is essential for teachers to stay updated with the latest educational practices and #technologies. Regular #workshops, #seminars, and in-service training programs can help teachers enhance their skills and mode of knowledge transmission. 🔺Challenges Facing Teacher Quality Many Nigerian public primary schools face challenges such as inadequate #training facilities, lack of motivation, and low #salaries. To address these issues, it is crucial to invest in teacher training programs, provide competitive salaries, and creates a supportive work environment. Additionally, policies that encourage continuous #professional #development and recognize teacher achievements can help retain and motivate high-quality teachers. 🔴Conclusion Teacher quality is a fundamental driver of academic success in Nigerian public primary schools.
